To be eligible for Ph.D. admission at SMU Gangtok, candidates must have a Master’s degree from a recognised university. They are required to appear for a Ph.D. entrance examination and secure at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category). Shortlisted candidates will undergo an interview or viva-voce, with final selection based on 70% weightage for the entrance test and 30% for the interview.
