The Jamia Milia Islami University in Delhi offers a variety of programmes in different disciplines. The Psychology department which falls under Social Science, offers B.A(Hons), Masters and Advanced Diploma .  The following information on the entrance exam syllabi of JMI is based on the 2018 version.

The B.A(Hons) programme of the department stretches over 6 semesters. Students are taken in through the entrance exam. The exam will be for 100 marks and is composed of MCQs. Each question carries 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted per wrong answer. The exam will be for 1hour and 45 minutes. Questions will be asked to test your Language skills(20 marks), General Awareness(40 marks), Reasoning(20 marks) and Social Awareness (20 marks).

The M.A. in Applied Psychology is for a period of 4 semesters. The question paper will be for maximum 100 marks and will be multiple choice. 20 mcqs will be based on General Knowledge, including Current Affairs, while the remaining 80 quetion will be asked fromt he core subject. The syllabi for this includes: General Psychology, Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Organisational Psychology and Research Methodolgy and statistics. Each question carries 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted per wrong answer.

The department offers an Advanced Diploma in Counseling Psychology(Self-Financed). The course will be for 2 semsters. The entrance exam syllabi will be based on the Psychology Syllabus in PG Curriculum ,which is as follows: General Psychology, Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Organisational Psychology and Research Methodolgy and statistics. The question paper will be multiple choice and will be for 100 marks. 20 marks will be derived from the General Knowledge, Reasoning and Awareness questions, while the rest will be based on the core subject, the syllabus of which has bee nmentioned above. Each question carries 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted per wrong answer.
