It depends on your knowledge and interest whether to choose Bsc microbiology or Bsc in Genetics and genome.

Currently Genetics and genomes are playing a jey role in many research. According to me if you are interested in Genetics then you must choose genetics over Microbiology.

Genetics is a vast field and it has many application in many fields like Cell biology, food industry, vaccines and medicines, Diseases etc.

You can also give JAM examination after your BSc and secure a good rank and go for a good college.

see both of the course has wide research options to work on further research or dp phd work in india and abroad, however genetics and genomes are new research topics and have wide scope in genetic breeding and reproduction technologies, however after completing microbiology there is many research area available like biotechnology, genetics research, bio chemistry, cell biology etc. according to further study options and research microbiology is best.

Frankly speaking, genetics is the field with more research opportunities. This is because, you must be knowing, there's so much left to explore and discover in this area.
However, microbiology also has good scope from research point of view.
So, basically it depends on your interest. Choose the field you are more passionate to discover about.
