Can i pursue msc genetics after completing bsc(hons) biological science ?
Hope you are doing good
Well , as i can see you are interested in doing Msc genetics , so take a look at eligibility criteria.
The eligibility criteria is BSc from a recognised university in subjects like Zoology, Biology, Botany, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or Life Sciences and Biomedical Sciences
Candidates require a minimum of 60 to 55% or more in their graduation exams in order to get enrolment (Minimum marks vary based on university and department)
According to this , you are eligible , so congratulations and all the best
Hope this helps
Does Bsc in combined biotechnology, genetics and biochemistry have a good scope in future nad good earning?
Hope you are doing well.
The Biotechnology focuses on the application of cellular and biomolecular processes to develop products that help to improve our lives. It involves concepts related to Engineering, Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, Technology etc. It also covers topics such as animal biotechnology, fermentation technology, spoilage of food and its preservation.
The Biochemistry focuses on the study of chemical processes at the molecular level that occur within living systems. It covers subjects related to metabolism, enzymology, microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, bioinformatics, biophysical chemistry, recombinant DNA technology, genetics, virology, etc
The Genetics focuses on the application of Biotechnology and Microbiology in genes, expression of genes, genetic variation, gene pool, structure and function of genes and heredity of animals, plants, and human beings.
Career opportunities are available in both government and private sectors.Top Recruiters are Abbott Laboratories,Indian Society of Cell Biology,Cipla etc
It is a good career option. The students can get a salary package of about Rs. 2.5 Lakhs to 8 Lakhs per annum. You can get job in Corporate companies, scientific laboratories, diagnostic laboratories, research centres etc.
In iit Hyderabad biomedical engineering btech we can learn about topic genetics or not please tell me is there about genetics or not in biomedical engineering btech syllabus of iit Hyderabad.
my son is intersted in doing genitics UG what are the UG courses available to do genetics which are the best colleges in india and how to get admission ..
He can go for
Both are different but the latter is superior in terms of syllabus....And they are 3 years i.e. 6 semesters course...Some colleges have their own entrance exams for the admission process...Apart am mentioning some colleges with fee structure which you can go for..

3.LPU, Jalandhar with INR 3.6 to 3.84 lacs
For lpu there will be an entrance test as I said above
i.e. LPU NEST
4.Amity University, Punjab with INR 2.2 to 5.2 lacs
5.M.S.Ramaiah College, Banglore with INR 53.91k
I hope this will help you to some extent.
either biotech or genetics in bsc have mor scope?
it depends on your interest..
BSc Genetics and BSc Biotechnology are almost similar courses due to field study. Biotechnology refers to the study of living organisms and systems to make different products whereas Genetics is a study of genes, variations, and heredity in organisms. BSc Genetics course helps to study cells and genes.
what are subjects in bsc genetics and also in bsc biotechnology
B.Sc Genetics Subjects
- Fundamentals Of Cell Biology.
- Molecular Genetics.
- Principles Of Genetics.
- Recombinant DNA Technology.
