To study Bsc computer science; maths is the basic requirements of subject to be studied and passed in class 12. further, the criteria for percentage calculation differes from college to college and from university and university.

like in Delhi University,for the 2017 admission in bsc computer science,selection was made on the basis of best four academic subjects including one language, Mathematics and two subjects out of Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science/Informatics Practices. The students of other streams: one Language, Mathematics with two Academic Subjects (as listed in Academic/ Elective subjects for DU Admissions 2017) with a deduction of 2%.

the basis for selection in Delhi University mentioned above was for Bsc(honours) in computer science.
