If you are a research and ground exploration student and and interested in job rather than teaching than you must opt for pmg group and target iit jam with physics for geophysics and do it from good iit and got placed with 12 to 15 lakhs or even more.Dont take pmgr .

Earlier PCM( physics, chemistry, math ) combination course was most demanded. However , SMC ( statistics, math and computer science)  and physics, maths , geology also trend ,but does not mean the  earlier course lost its relevance. Moreover,one must choose the course as per his/her interest so that the burden  reduces and can obtain good mark with good careers.
