SRKREC is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The College offers undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Tech, MCA) courses in various areas. Sagi Ramakrishnam Raju Engineering College is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK). Hence it must follow JNTUK syllabus.
