when a student completes his/her btech from any college in civil engineering department. he/she does not have a lot of experience so, if he applies for placements he can get a decent salary depending on the placement rates of the college.

but, if the student has done his/her mtech degree, then the student has gain some experience in the field and so, he may have a better chance to get placed.
