Dear Manjistha, there are only a few fields that you can make corrections to your JEE application like your Personal details, Academic Details, Change of Paper, Examination language, Name, State, Eligibility and Date of Birth and Category. This has been notified by NTA well ahead. Now if you ask why, then it is NTA'S guideline and we have to abide by it.
