The ETCE (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) department at Jadavpur University is one of the most popular department because it's one of the best in the country. The average package lie around 12-15LPA for ETCE which is similar to IT as well. Plus the ETCE department is in the main campus while the IT department is in the salt lake campus, that might well be a reason too.
