JGLS website says yearly program fee 5.5 lacs
+ accommodation+food+ laundry etc etc 2.2
lacs (yearly). I wont comment on
accommodation and hostel charges because it
is completely justified. Students are given not
less than 5 star accommodation with all
facilities of calling room service, dropping
clothes for laundry, eating north India,
Chinese, glocal varieties in mess food.
Accomodation and food @2.2 lacs yearly
seems wel1.

But programme fee yearly @5.5 lacs is just
too much. Year is divided into two
semesters: spring and fall. Fall semester
starts from Aug. And spring semester starts
from Feb

In fall semester classes/ lectures are held
from 2nd Aug (1st aug commencement
lecture holiday) till October end. November is
left for examination and reading period.
Lectures are delivered for 3 months ( approx).

Full Dec and Jan off.

Same is with spring semester starts from 1st
February and goes on till end of April. May is
left for examination and reading period.

So technically lectures are being delivered for
6 months in a year. 4 months off 2 month
reading and examination period (complete
off, no classes are held)

There are 8 holidays in a month (sat & sun is
off). So, out of 6 months there are 48 days
6x8) when lecture is not delivered.
Approximately lecture is delivered for 132
days(180-48)

Generally every day two lecture are delivered
(2.5 hrs each). Total lecture delivered 132x 2

In short JGLS is charging 5.5 lacs for 264
lectures yearly. Per lecture it comes out Rs
2462.
