BCA+MCA is a very strong alternative over BTech in IT/CSE for a Career in the IT/Software/Services Industry. However, only Science Students can pursue BTech (Engineering), whereas BCA+MCA Option can also be pursued by a Science and also a Commerce Candidate if he or she is interested in a Career in the IT Sector. Even if someone has a BSc, Btech (Non CSE) or BCom Degree, but wants to develop a Career in the IT/Software Sector, he or she can pursue a MCA from some of the Top Colleges like NITs, Public and Deemed Universities as well as Good Private Institutions.
