Will EWS cutoff nearly be equal to OBC cutoff for nits and iiits?

Hello,

EWS category was introduced only this year. So you have to wait till the cut-offs are published for JoSAA counselling. Once you see the last year opening and cloaing marks you can see that the range of the seats available for rank list ascends from highest reservation to least. That is a high value of difference between closing and opening ranks for OBC than SC/ST. Similarly General have high when compared to OBC. As for General category common rank list is considered, the actual belongings to General will be much less than the range.

So you can understand that as admission occurs by referring a different rank list for EWS, you cannot compare the ranks. Here the ranks are considered not the marks.
