If we want to know whether there are any chances for you to be  admitted into VIT, Vellore in ECE domain, we need to knnow previous year trends. Now, as you have mentioned that your probable rank will be below 20000 and if we look upon previous year trends then we can see that the closing rank is generally around 14000 - 16000. So, you have good chances if your rank is either below 14000 or in between 14000 - 16000.

In order to get admission in ECE at VIT, Vellore the closing rank was below 14500 respectively, so it will be difficult to get admission in ECE at VIT.
