Will I get admission in Hindu college with 94.5% in BOF as I want to pursue history honours and I'm GEN?

Hindu college, one of the prestigious colleges under Delhi University, was established in the year 1899. Hindu college offers three major undergraduate programs with various specializations. All the undergraduate courses are full- time programs which have the duration of three years. Following are the key points for admission to Hindu college:

  • Candidates should fill in the Common Pre- Admission Form available on the official website of DU.
  • The minimum eligibility for the undergraduate programs is 10+2 or HSC.
  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of cutoff prepared by DU for Hindu College.
  • Hindu College follows the reservation criteria of the Delhi University:

    1. University type- Central

    2. Basic admission criteria- Merit

    3. Last date to apply- June 2019

Hindu college provides B.Sc. program in six specializations, B.A. program in eight specializations and a B.Com [Hons] program. The minimum educational qualification for the program is 10+2 or HCS in the relevant stream from a recognized board.

For admission to the undergraduate programs in Hindu College, candidates must have scored above the cut-off percentage in the qualifying examination. Candidates falling in the merit list should report to the college for admission. They must fill in the college admission form and University enrolment form. Candidates may also have to submit the necessary academic documents and the proofs of claim to secure admission under reserved quota.

          To apply for the programs, candidates should fill in the common pre-admission form available from the Delhi University. The application form can be filled online as well as offline mode.

  • Candidates should complete their 10+2 in the relevant stream to be considered eligible.
  • The cutoff percentage for the program is determined either by the university or the college.
  • For SC/ST candidates, there is a 5% relaxation in the minimum required eligibility.
  • Hindu College follows the reservation criteria for DU for all its programs.
