Chemical engineering is one of the best departments in Jadhavpur University. All the facilities and faculty are better than any college. You would have good research opportunities as well. Almost all students are placed. 

But if you don't like chemistry then you must figure out that you can develop a interest in it. Do it by reading some chemistry books. And if doesn't interest it don't go for chemical branch. According to your interests you can go for civil or mechanical engineering.
