Hi, there are differences in all of those exams. If not everything but at least some of the things are different. GMAT has a fixed pattern, fixed number of questions and fixed syllabus. XAT, SNAP, NMAT are not fixed as in the portion can change anytime the college prefers to. GMAT is more focused on critical thinking and other exams are more focused on mathematical/ verbal mastery. So, there might be a possibility that preparing for GMAT's analytical part give you an upper hand and vice versa. If you still have doubts feel free to comment. Hope this helps.

To answer your question, somewhere it will help you to prepare for other exams because all three sections are the  same for all of these exams: verbal, discussion, and quants. The GMAT course also prepares  for many other aptitude tests. To benefit from your GMAT preparation, it is important to understand the differentiators of other exams. MBA entrance exams conducted by different universities are designed according to different models and evaluation criteria. The GMAT is a test that focuses on critical thinking about math / linguistic competence (only high  or low level math and English concepts are tested).  GMAT is a standardized test. That is, the "curriculum" of question types, the number of questions in each section, the distribution of question types, and the logic tested have been modified. SNAP, XAT, and CAT (and other Indian tests) are not standardized. This means that the university has the right to change the "curriculum" that it considers appropriate each year. These tests also test your skills in the more theoretical aspects of math and oral reasoning.

Remember to be consistent in your preparations and keeping giving mock tests as frequently as you can.
