Admission depends upon the cutoffs for the respective college you are seeking admission to. Many colleges also conduct admissions on the basis of both entrance exams and class 12 marks.

Now if you are from general category, you may have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd list of cutoffs, since the first list always has a higher cutoff marks. It entirely depends upon the college.
