If you are talking about AIIMS MBBS admission, then No — you cannot skip NEET.

Since 2020, AIIMS MBBS seats are filled only through NEET-UG as per NMC rules.

However, if you are asking about AIIMS paramedical or other undergraduate courses (like B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Medical Technology, OTT, MLT, etc.), then yes, you can apply directly after 12th by appearing in the AIIMS Institute-level entrance exam conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi. NEET is not required for those.

Hello,

Sorry, but you can't get admission to AIIMS without clearing the NEET exam. Here, a thing to clear up: for an MBBS degree, you need to clear the NEET, but there are other courses like paramedical, nursing., available, whic which can be based on other merits like 12th-pass percentages.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hi dear candidate,

The NEET exam is mandatory for MBBS/ BAMS/ BHMS etc. only. For BSc or any other paramedical course there is NO need to give NEET but you will have to give AIIMS entrance exam for that.

Kindly refer to our official preparation guide:

How To Prepare For AIIMS B.Sc Nursing 2025

The syllabus is vastly based on class 11th and 12th PCB subjects.

Thank you!!

Hello!

No, you cannot get admission to AIIMS without NEET exam. From 2020 AIIMS has removed it's separate entrace exam and other medical UG exams. Now admission to all AIIMS institutes across India is done only through the NEET UG exam conducted by the National Testing Agency.

So if You have completed you class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology you have to appear for NEET to get AIIMS.
