Hi Aspirant!

The college can be compared on the facilities and placements.According to NIRF ranking we consider its facilities and exposure. The NIRF ranking of NIT Rourkela is 16, NIT Warangal 19, NIT Calicut 23,DTU 36.

As you have interest in Computer Science/Coding then in this case college does not matter as in this field only your skills matter. But the better college on NIRF ranking can provide you best/more opportunities to explore.

Now on the basis on placements the average package of NIT Rourkela is 15.18LPA,NIT Warangal 13.3LPA,NIT Calicut 8 LPA,DTU has 16LPA.

Hence on the basis of Placements DTU is best.I still recommend you to go for NIT Rourkela because it provides you more opportunities than DTU.

I hope it helps.

Happy Hustling!

Hey,

Your marks is quite low as per this year cut off. So anything to say seems a bit difficult. You securing  a  seat in any government aided college will depend upon the category you belong as well as your the state domicile you have.

You can use our college predictor link too see your chances of college you can get at this marks. The link is given below,

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

As per present pandamic situation it's little difficult for you to get government seat in SIT in CSE for your rank as the rounds will be less and cut off also be less. You may get or may not be able to government seat

It's better to have another option rather than SIT.

You can apply for SIT giving 1st preference and also apply for other colleges for safer side.

All the best for your future.

Thank you.

Hello,

Many candidates are similar issues and some cannot even login for their counselling registration because the site is having technical issues. Try again I am sure it will be solved. Mop up rounds will be conducted by deemed universities so that could be a reason why the option is not available now. After the completion of round 1 and round 2 I think it would be available.

Hope it helps.

Good luck.

Greetings, Kajal.

I think if you are unlucky enough to get a center where the ID checkers are uptight then they might object to it. Otherwise, they also go through details other than the name - as in Father's name, DOB, etc. So do not worry so much about it at this point. What you can do (for the sake of your peace of mind) is keep another ID proof along with your Aadhar card. If you have any school or college ID with your middle name in it then that would be great but if not then just to clear any doubts about your authenticity keep another ID like license or passport - so as to let them double check all your details from 2 ID cards if they really want to.

Anyways, do not worry so much, it will definitely be fine. Best of luck for your exam.

Hi Poorvaja, your score in NATA and 12th board examination is good. But as per the last year, to get admission in SIT, the rank in the range of 115-125/200. Your mark is slightly less than that. Don't worry about it. Apply for the counselling, definitely you can get seat in this college. If your application is not selected in the first round wait upto the last round of counselling.

Hello,

This depends on you. I would suggest that it would be better to sit for AIQ counselling as that gives you more chances to appear for various good colleges in different states. If you have a good score you can also get into  Government Medical colleges.

If you do not want to try in any other states and you are 100% sure that you will get through state quota then it's fine. But still my suggestion would be to not take that risk and apply for AIQ counselling too as the cutoffs do vary every year and it depends upon the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the question paper, total seats available.

Please refer the following site for the cutoffs to government colleges in different states:

Think before you make the choice.

Good Luck

Hello

Since Indian nationals who have passed Master’s Degree programme with a minimum of Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) from any public-funded/Govt. institution are eligible to give ICAR JRF exam I dont see why you will not be allowed. To know about how may seats are there in icr jrf you can clcik on https://icar.nta.nic.in/Webinfo/Handler/FileHandler.ashx?i=File&ii=287&iii=Y

As far as I know, there is n harm in preparing for ICAR NET, if you get it it will be a life changing belessing for you. If you do not then yo can always go for CSIR NET JRF.

Hello aspirant, these are a few tricks you can follow during your preparation. Hope you find this helpful.

1. One needs to start with the NCERT. NCERT books give the base for the JEE entrance, especially for the JEE Main. Most common myth made by students is to start with reference books directly while their concepts and theoretical knowledge are not very strong. NCERT books will give you a firm grounding of concepts and, thus, are the best books to start our preparation.

2. One needs to practice with the Multiple Solution Technique. Whenever solving questions of a particular chapter, don’t try to solve many questions for each topic, rather try solving a particular question in multiple ways.  This helps in learning alternative methods of approaching a problem. In the actual paper, there will be times when you won’t be able to solve a question using your preferred method that's when this practice will help you.

3. Regular revision of each subject. Students normally either revise too much or they don’t revise at all. This will helps in immediately understanding the concepts you have just studied.

4. Time management - To keep a better track of the time one can allot to various chapters, revision, and practice, can make use of time management apps.

5. Solving more and more Mock Tests.

Practice at home is the most effective when you test yourself at regular intervals. The common mistake made by most students is they never review what they have solved. Whenever solving a paper, try to analyze the questions or chapters you are facing a problem with and the areas you are quick to solve. After the first mock test, one will have a list of your strong areas as well as the topics that require more attention.

6. Choose the right reference books. Once you are thorough with your NCERT books, move on to reference books. Reference books will help you greatly in building knowledge about concepts through practice. These are specifically designed for JEE preparation by the top experts in the market.

7. Last but not the least. Have a Curious Mind. Having a curious mind and asking questions whenever reading a particular theory.  Questioning concepts will help in widening understanding and will, thus, help in solving various twisted questions based on the same theory.

Hey,

Your marks is quote good but sorry to say due to increase in cut off this year the rank has shifted vastly. The last closing rank under state quota in Orissa was around 32000.

So I don't think  being a general category student you will be able to secure a seat in any government college of Orrisa.

I have attached a link of Orissa 2019 counseling. You can refer to it for further clarification.
