Hello,
For University of Madras exams, calculators are not allowed inside the examination hall.
The rules clearly mention that calculators, smartwatches, mobile phones, and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited.
So, even for BA Economics statistics exams, you cannot carry a calculator.
Hope it helps !
Hello Aspirant,
SP Jain’s BBA has a reputation for global exposure because students rotate between campuses located in Dubai, Singapore, and Sydney. The campuses are high-quality, and the peer group is diverse -- bringing together students from numerous countries which helps develop a vibrant and competitive crowd. The study abroad experience is generally smooth - Dubai has a cosmopolitan and safe feel, Singapore is similarly safe and very organized, with strict rule and expectations but good for students, while Australia has a more relaxed but multicultural feel. Overall, the program provides a good balance of educational, international exposure, and cultural learning.
You are asking whether BHU offers placements after completing a course. The answer is yes, but placement outcomes vary depending on your program.
Placement Cell and Opportunities Banaras Hindu University has a dedicated placement cell that organizes campus placement drives, internships, and training sessions. These help students build soft skills, communication, and aptitude needed for recruitment.
Overall Placement Trends According to NIRF data and curated sources, BHU placements show encouraging median salary trends:
For undergraduate three year programs like BA BSc BCom, the median package is around 8 lakh per annum
For four year degrees such as BTech, it is around 8.5 lakh per annum
For five year courses like BArch or MBBS, the median package goes up to 16 lakh per annum
For postgraduate programs of two years, median pay is around 9 lakh per annum
For three year postgraduate courses like MD MDS, median can be about 13.5 lakh per annum.
MBA and Management Placements In MBA programs, the numbers are even stronger. The average package for MBA or MBA IB graduates is over 11 lakh per annum, and the highest package reached around 23.5 lakh per annum in 2024. The average agribusiness MBA package was around 8.8 lakh per annum.

The highest package reached 2.2 crore per annum.
What You Should Do Decide on your preferred stream or department. If you are in management or technical courses, expect active placements. For arts and general degrees, the placement support is moderate. For UG, PG, or professional courses, leverage the training and placement cell, pursue internships, and stay updated on placement drives.
Hope this gives you a clear idea of placement outcomes and expectations at BHU
Hello Sarita
Yes, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) does provide placements after course completion, but the placement opportunities majorly depend upon the course and the department a student is enrolled in.
Like for example, a student pursuing B.Tech will get better placement opportunities than one pursuing BBA in BHU because of the nature of the course. So you need to see particularly for the course you want to do.

Swami Vivekanand Institute of Technology, Solapur offers both diploma (polytechnic) and degree engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) courses. If you received this college in the CAP round 4 under a 4-year program, it most likely indicates a B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) or B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) degree course, which is typically 4 years long.
Polytechnic diploma courses in engineering, on the other hand, are usually 3 years long after the 10th standard. If you are seeing options for “diploma” during a search, make sure you are referring to course details for after 12th standard, as diploma and degree programs have different durations and eligibility.
Since the allotment through CAP round (Centralized Admission Process, Maharashtra) is most commonly for degree engineering (after 12th), and your seat shows a 4-year course, this means your admission is for a B.Tech/B.E. degree, not diploma.
Here’s what you should do:
Double check your CAP allotment letter or confirmation—it should clearly say "Bachelor of Engineering" or “B.Tech.” along with the branch (e.g., Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc.).
Visit the official website of Swami Vivekanand Institute of Technology, Solapur, or call their admission office to clarify course type.
Ignore online listings showing diploma/polytechnic unless you applied and got selected for the diploma course. Your CAP allotment for a 4-year seat is for a degree program.
In summary, your CAP Round 4 allotment for Swami Vivekanand Institute of Technology, Solapur for a 4-year course means you are getting a B.Tech/B.E. degree seat, not a diploma. For complete surety, verify using your allotment letter or by contacting the college directly.
