Hello... This is janu How can i increase my marks from 300to 590..if I start preparing from now still only 30days left for Neet...?

masteranshu27 2nd Apr, 2019
If you have not studied anything and starting from the very first, it is impractical to complete the entire syllabus (97 chapters). If you have studied the theory portion, make sure you do these things to boost your marks and confidence -

1. Solving previous year question papers (min. 2012-2018)
2. Solving NEET Mock Papers

Read Bio NCERT thoroughly and solve exemplar questions of Bio as Biology is a subject where you can easily secure good marks. If you read NCERT line by line thoroghly, solve Bio exemplar book and prev year NEET questions of Bio (2012-2018), you can easily get 320+ out of 360.

To get 140+ in Chemistry , study these -
1. Atomic structure
2. Periodic Table
3. Chemical Bonding
4. Hydrogen
5. s-Block
6. Boron and carbon family
7. periodic properties and  oxoacids structures given in Nitrogen family, oxygen family, halogen, inert gas
8. General Organic Chem
9. Hydrocarbons
10. Haloalkanes, haloarenes
11. Alcohol, phenol, ether
12. physical properties given in ketone, carboxylic, ester
13. amines
14. equilibrium
15. electrochem
16. thermodynamics
17. chemical kinetics
18. polymers
19. biomolecule
20. chem in everyday life

Solve 2012-2018 NEET/AIPMT Chem questions

For Physics, recap all formulae and solve previous year questions and you will surely get 100+

So, 320+140+100 = 560

To enhance your rank, you may use NEET Rank booster provided by Careers 360 - https://www.entrance360.com/neet-rank-booster/ (tap on that link)

Be positive. Best of luck.

I am appearing for NEET 2019. According to my preparation, I think Ill score 150. I am OBC. Will I be admited in any Pvt Collage?

Arpit pandey 2nd Apr, 2019

Thanks for the question.

150 marks are very low expectations

Though the cutoff remains low for OBC students,  still 150 is a poor score.

There is very minimal chance of getting a college.

Increase your preparation,  practise numericals and read NCERT biology.  Try to bring at least above 300 to get a medical college.

Good luck

I have recently completed my +2 board under cbse board ,but Im not sure to get even 150 marks in JEE. Should I drop to prepare for JEE

L Niveditha 1st Apr, 2019

Firstly, congratulations on finishing your 12th exams and JEE. I think you still have a chance. Because you will have a second chance to attempt JEE. It is better to wait and see if you couldn't make it in the second attempt also. If you miss it very closely and if you wanted to study only in NIT's or IIT's then you can think of dropping. But as far as I heard from people it is actually not a very good idea to go for longterm in MPC. It is like wasting your one year. Even if you donot study in NIT or IIT, you can still manage to get a decent job if you work it out during your graduation.

I finally suggest that if you miss JEE merely then you can think od dropping out only after your second attempt. If not donot waste your time. Gook luck for your second attempt of JEE.

can i qualify mains april 2019 and can appear for jee adv if i prepare math only for mains. please help me with this i want tostudy in iit

Prashant_1553778274 Student Expert 1st Apr, 2019

Hello Aspirant,

The plan that you are proposing is not enough to get you to an IIT. It might, if you are very very good in Mathematics, help you clear mains but yet you won't end up getting a good college because of the competition. You will merely be able to clear the cutoff of your category which is not enough to get you a proper seat in NIT with a proper branch, of your choice. And next comes advance. Which is a harder but to crack.

You really need to have a good-hard control over the three subjects to make through both mains and advance and ensure a quality seat in a quality branch in a quality IIT.

All the best .

Can I prepare through ncert books for NDA or not?

megha bali 1st Apr, 2019

Hi Manish,

yes of course you can study from NCERT books for NDA as the language used to explain the concepts in these books are very easy and comprehendable.

one more thing once you have completed your prepaprtion from ncert books always opt for other books as well to practice espaecially for exams like maths.

you can also lookout for ICSE books as do have a lot of practice model papers and solved questions that will further help you in getting thorough with your subjects.

The mathematics and english play a major role in your clearing the written examination. If you have command over , 11th and 12th  mathematics , and reasonably good english , then half of your task is sorted.

After that , you may go through the previous years papers and that will suffice. Remember, clearing NDA is not a big deal, to clear SSB is a real challenge. But your written marks count in final merit list and may help you in getting the arm of your choice in NDA.

Best of luck.

Now I am in 11th. I want to prepare for NDA interview. So , how I can prepare without joining any coaching?

megha bali 1st Apr, 2019

Hi Manish,

very well as you have enough time to start preparing for the big day and come out with fyling colors.

Now to start preparing for NDA exam without any coaching you need to keep some points clear in your mind. So we will break down the entire process, right from written exam to SSBs.

UPSC’s NDA Written Exam Strategy :

Time - 6 months

This is your own strategy, everyone has its own favorite subjects, time, pace. Figure it out. try and work on your week points and polish your strengths.

You have ample time to prepare for the interview but first of all what is required is to clear the written exam.

For preparation of the interview keep the below mentioned points in mind and it will be a cakewalk for you.

  • Just make your Maths part strong. It will help a lot because minimum 50% questions are from Class 11.
  • Read newspapers daily, current affairs would help you a lot.
  • Start practising speaking fluent English, doesn't matter how weak you are. You can improve within 2 years for sure.
  • Prepare speeches on random topics and speak out in front of your friends. If you feel shy to speak in English in front of them then deliver in Hindi (it improves your public speaking). This will help you in developing confidence.
  • Don't go about speaking in front of a large crowd. If you fail to deliver (I hope it doesn't happen), then you may develop a lack of confidence on yourself and it will be a major setback.
  • Start speaking in front of a small group of 5-10 people. Then gradually go on increasing the audience.
  • If you are a bulky guy, do a little bit of exercise daily. Don't hit the gym. You are not required to have a body.
  • Don't think about the interviews so early. You will get a 2 months time after you clear the UPSC. Those 2 months are enough.
  • Don't bottle up your academic career to prepare for NDA. You have a lot of chances for NDA but not for your academics. So study well for your academics first.
  • At last, be confident. Don't be over confident. Because over confidence is a major factor in the rejection of candidates almost every time.
