Hi Nithin,

Have a look at these three options after Intermediate(12)

1. Apply for NIT's if You Score Between 150-200 or more

                               (or)

2. Take Long-term coaching which helps you learn Basic, Intermediate and advanced concepts and get a good score then apply for NIT's

                               (or)

3. Give EAMCET exam and get Rank between 5k-10k and get into top 5 engineering colleges (Remember top 5 colleges are equal to NIT's)

Hope it helps! Inbox me if you've any queries!

How to go about my preparation for CLAT after boards?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 28th Mar, 2019

Hey.

The Syllabus of CLAT includes a total of 5 sections. Here is the section wise syllabus of CLAT-

1. General Knowledge and Current Affairs- 50 questions for 50

2. Legal Aptitude- 50 questions for 50 marks

3. English- including Comprehension questions 40 for 40 marks

4. Logical Reasoning- 40 questions for 40 marks

5. Elementary Mathematics-20 question for 20 marks.

In case you are looking for an all inclusive guide then the best one is- Universal's guide to CLAT and LLB. Other good guides for the same are- Arihant's guide for CLAT and Pearson's guide to CLAT.

Here are some tips for preparation for each individual section of CLAT along with individual sources for each.

General Knowledge - The GK Section includes both Static GK as well as current affairs. For gstatic general knowledge you can refer to the Concised size Pearson or the Arihant’s guide. For current affairs, first of all develop a habit to read newspapers daily. The Hindu is the newspaper preferred by various CLAT Aspirants. It not only builds a strong base for General knowledge but will also help you in your verbal ability section. There is a site called GK today.in which you can go to for current affairs. They have daily quizes based on current affairs which has been proved very usefull for CLAT preparation.

English - In case you are looking for a separate book For Vocabulary you can refer the book Word Power Made Easy by Normal Lewis.  You will come across various words while reading the newspaper too, prepare a list, go through them regularly and try to use them in sentences. You should read the Editorial section of the Hindu for your Reading section as well as Vocabulary section of CLAT. For the reading section practicing your sample questions while timing it would prove usefull. For grammar you can use the Wren & Martin.

Mathematics - The weightage of the maths section is very less in CLAT. Also the syllabus included elementary level of Mathematics. Hence, if you purchase an all inclusive guide, then practicing for it would suffice.

Logical Reasoning - For Quantitative aptitude in case you are looking for a separate book then quantitative aptitude  by RS Aggarwal can be used. Other wise Universal's guide to CLAT or Arihant guide is also sufficient for CLAT. Make sure that you go through the previous year question too.

Legal Aptitude - Universal’s guide to CLAT and LLB, Pearson CLAT Guide are considered the best for this section. Fo through the basics of handling the questions of this section at first, and then utilise it to practice from these guides or any other source online, previous year papers etc.

Make sure that you go through the past year question papers and practice them along with sample papers. This will help you to have an idea about how to attempt the paper, the level of questions for each section, and how to manage your time well. If you are planning to take any coaching in institutes like Career launcher, Bulls eye etc then their reading material covers all aspects. You can refer the books listed above in case you need separate books for any or  the sections.

Best of luck!

can you tell me how to prepare for jee advanced if i have cleared mains and have 2 months

mdsameenabanu Student Expert 28th Mar, 2019

HI,

Nothing is impossible. All you need is determination and will to do a task. By this you will surely crack JEE advance in just 2 months.

The very first step is to get focused.Only a concentrated, industrious, and planned study plan will yield the desired score and rank.

Focus on improving your problem-solving speed, which requires continuous practice. Drill yourself with regular numerical problem practice. By the time you go for the actual exam

There are two ways to find practice problems and solutions: a good coaching course or books on all the three subjects.A good IIT-JEE coaching course will provide relevant topic-wise modules of questions and solutions. It will also set pre-planned time limits for completion to help you pace up yourself. If you can take a course and follow it religiously,

As physics is most difficult for you, give more time for it and go for books which makes you understand better

following are some of the book

Physics:

Concepts of Physics, Volumes 1 and 2, by H.C. Verma

Problems in General Physics, by I.E. Irodov

Fundamentals of Physics, by Halliday, Resnick, and Walker

Understanding Physics for JEE Main and Advanced (series), by D.C. Pandey

some tips which might help :

1. Solve at least 40-80 numerical problems daily.

2. Set time limits for questions.Practice to improve speed on problem-solving.

3. Start with the difficult areas first.Prepare brief notes on the hardest sections.

4. Prioritize by topic.Develop your strategy to prioritize your subjects in accordance to your requirements..

5. Analyze your mistakes.Find the points that you often face difficulty with and which slow you down.

6. Never quit until you have achieved daily target.Once you have solved your daily problems, make tomorrow's plan.

7. Practice logical thinking.Build your solutions step-by-step with contextual thinking. Discard stray thoughts.

8. Until the exam ends, don't give up.Keep up your routine and resolve to keep trying.

9. Use your board exam syllabus.Material from the board exams will be included on both JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

10. Consult test papers from previous years.Obtain copies of test papers from the past 10-15 years and solve the questions.

How do i prepare for jee mains just for good percentages.I am doing 12th and my last board exam on 30 march and jee exam on 9th of April?

Nitika Kohli 28th Mar, 2019

Hey Gulfan!

First do not worry about the examination as it is JEE mains and as you said you are preparing for board exams so ultimately you are going to revise all the NCERT in the Board exam process. For the last minute preparation we suggest students not to pick any new topic but to revise the things the best way. Just have the confidence within yourself as you have covered the syllabus in the board exams already and now you just have to work on few things as revision strategy, speed, accuracy and mock papers.

Follow these few things and if you require any suggestion please reply. One more thing keep your hydrated and eat well to keep yourself healthy.
