Sir i am student of b. Tech 1st year How i prepare for gate

harsh Student Expert 20th Feb, 2019

Hello Ananya

You should start your preparation from 5 th sem or before it depending upon your college schedule.

And you should not get distracted and focus on study means that attend all the classes and whatever is taufht to you in class ; understand it and don't ignore it like other students do ( they think that we will do it during exam).

Gate required only practice and concepts.

College Life is the most distracting and lazy life but you must be determined and focus and don't waste time .

Make a proper schedule .

First go through the syllabus and than prepare beacause many times students do extra which is the wastage of time and energy.

You should choose good quality books.

Good luck

How to prepare for jee barch exam without coaching

atulranjan2306 Student Expert 20th Feb, 2019
Hiii..
You should mainly concentrate on maths , and aptitude . Aptitude is a bit easy but u should be aware about the questions asked in Aptitude all the options look the same but u should wisely choose the answer , and in this Year there is no question asked form the architectures and their histories so leave them , and drawing there is no need of So much drawing skills u can draw it as like as u want and u can , and U should score minimum score of @200 so u might get seat In SPA delhi , and coming to maths Both in paper 1 and paper 2 the syllabus is same but u have to concentrate more on maths , the ranks are decided by Maths 1 mark in maths changes the ranks in 10 s digits , so concentrate more and maths as well as also on aptitude and drawing , maths is of 120 marks and aptitude is of 200 marks , at least u have to score 80 in maths u can get good rank and chance to get into SPA Delhi.
Prepare well and score Good..

SECTION 2 : VERBAL ABILITY AND READING COMPREHENSION

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA :

Minimum 60 percent marks in class 10th and 12th for general and NC-OBC category and 55 percent for students belonging to SC/ST AND PWD category .

HOW TO PREAPRE FOR THESE TWO SECTIONS:

Take help from previous years paper of various other entrance exams like CLAT , SSC, CAT , CMAT, IBPS, NDA , NIFT ,NID AILET ,MAT,GMAT, XAT etc. ( you will find a bundle of questions that you can practice daily) . Your main focus should be to find and analyse logical reasoning ,English , quantitative section from these papers .

A constant regularity should be maintained for ENGLISH SECTION  ;read editorials from Indian Express or The Hindu; make a notebook for difficult vocabulary and find their meaning everyday ; try solving error correction from various entrance exams mentioned above . You will find their previous year papers on various sites  ( try SSC previous year papers because they have the most number  of  papers in a year and are easily available online ). If you are finding it difficult to score in  grammar you can go through the concept from books of English of someone who is studying in school .It will help you because of the kind of detailing that will provided  in that book.

To  score in QUANTITATIVE SECTION  first try clearing  your doubts and take help of RD or RS Sharma of 9th and 10th standard, try Google Books or Pdf's of specific book. There are many quantitative reasoning books in Google Books with solutions  if you do not want to buy books. Try You tube videos for difficult concept .

For LOGICAL REASONING   SSC papers which have got loads of good questions from this section , for analytical reasoning purchase MK Pandey's analytical reasoning ; Competitive reasoning by Pratiyogita KiranModern Approach to logical reasoning by RS Sharma .
