I am giving the GATE XE-FOOD TECHNOLOGY PAPER and found no test series. How to utilize last 15 days and will prev year paper solving help?

manisha.gupta 16th Jan, 2019

Here are some preparation tips you can follow for the exam preparation:

Divide the Topics broadly into Strong, Weak and to be read properly.

Next schedule your preparation such that you revise the easy ones along with the tough ones and the “never read before” ones. This will ensure you have a clear view of what is to be studied and how you are going to do it.

While many advise to check the weightage and study accordingly, it is really not the correct way to go.

Check the weightage by all means and understand the important topics but don’t neglect to study.

The short notes during your study if you prepared, Do revision with that also.

Keep the solved problems separately indexed so that you can refresh and revise later when required.

Analyse your preparation at every step.

Good Luck!

Do we need to prepare for gate just like Jee or is it tougher than Jee?

Shivam Gautam 15th Jan, 2019
Dear Kartik

Kartik you can compare in two ways like :
  • Firstly , in the toughness point of view both are almost same only both the entrance exam have the different priority at the different stage level. But yaah in Comparison to JEE mains the GATE is more tough & in comparison to JEE Advance it is almost equal.
  • Regarding the authorities point of view then yaah IIT-JEE and both GATE is conducted by the authorities of IIT only so both are having the almost same scenario.
  • For preparation , both are at the different parameters so preparation is also different.
Regarding that below the link is given through which you can able to check the full stratigies of GATE preparation.

What is the best way to prepare CDs 2019

dhameerbhatia31_7970609 Student Expert 14th Jan, 2019

Hello Krishna Reddy,

Here we are talking about CDS Exam Preparation tips which you can consider in your study plan to prepare for CDS recruitment.

Firstly, you should get proper UPSC CDS Study material such as CDS Exam previous question papers, books, and notes topic wise etc.

Now, check the complete guide to prepare for CDS Exam subject wise.

Taking help with these given tips for CDS I 2019, you can easily crack CDS exam in one attempt.

  1. Geography - NCERT 11th ( part 1 & 2) and certificate physical and human geography by G C leong . Apart from that you must buy an atlas like Oxford or orient black swan.
  2. History - ancient history and mediaeval history from NCERT . And modern history from spectrum: brief history of modern india or India's struggle for independence by orient black swan. Keep special focus on modern history.
  3. Polity: just grab all the previous year papers of CDS and read all the topics asked in any paper from INDIAN POLITY BY M . LAXMIKANT. Book is too large to cover so read selective topics.
  4. Science : basic science can be covered from NCERT books . Have a look at the previous year papers to get the idea of level of questions asked and study accordingly.
  5. Economy : I don't study it for cds so can't suggest a book . But keep in touch with current economic scenerio of the country .you will surely be able to nail 2 -3 questions out of around 6 questions of economy.
  6. Current affairs : Grab any magazine you comprehend easily like competition infocus , Yojana, CSR , pratiyogita darpan etc . I personally used pratiyogita darpan.
  • ENGLISH : Arihant book of English grammar or s.p Bakshi's book is enough.
  • Mathematics: quantitative aptitude by r s Aggarwal is more than enough .just cover topics which carry more weightage.
  • Let me know if it helped
