Here are some preparation tips you can follow for the exam preparation:
Divide the Topics broadly into Strong, Weak and to be read properly.
Next schedule your preparation such that you revise the easy ones along with the tough ones and the “never read before” ones. This will ensure you have a clear view of what is to be studied and how you are going to do it.
While many advise to check the weightage and study accordingly, it is really not the correct way to go.
Check the weightage by all means and understand the important topics but don’t neglect to study.
The short notes during your study if you prepared, Do revision with that also.
Keep the solved problems separately indexed so that you can refresh and revise later when required.

The candidates will be required to meet the following eligibility criteria of GATE 2019 to attempt the examination.
Nationality
Indian national candidates will be eligible for GATE 2019.
Candidates belonging to Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) will also be eligible to appear for GATE 2019.
Academic Qualifications
Candidates should have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree (M.Sc) in any relevant science subject or must be in the final year of the programme.
While applying for GATE 2019, there is no minimum pass percentage in the qualifying degree.
Age Limit - There is no age limit for applicants of GATE.
