Shivam Gautam 25th Nov, 2018
Dear Raju

Raju since you are an ST category candidate then it will be easy for you to score in the JEE mains in comparison with the General Category Candidate so inorder to prepare for it first go with the conceptual books like NCERT , RD Sharma etc. and build your concepts strong enough to score the good score in JEE mains and after that go for the other reference books , previous 10 years papers and various mock test because these will really help you a lot to built the good score in this prestigious exam.

Anybody can tell me about neet preparation?

Neha Jain 25th Nov, 2018

Hi there.

Keep solving questions until your concept becomes crystal clear and you develop a problem-solving approach. Just for the sake of your question, it is advisable to do 250+ different types of questions from each chapter. Cracking the NEET examination comes at the cost of hard work, patience, determination, continued practice, and a lot of focus on proper time management.

The following books might prove helpful in your preparation.

First of all, for all subjects i.e Physics, Chemistry, Biology study the NCERT books cover to cover at least twice. For Biology read NCERT as many times as possible. For only the text material of Biology, you actually don't need to refer to any other book. NCERT is more than enough for biology. You might doubt this but trust me NCERT is really really enough for Biology. I can't stress more on this FACT.

For Physics, after completing NCERT complete all examples and questions from DC Pandey Objective book of physics by Arihant publishers. Revise the material as much as possible.

For Chemistry, after completing NCERT, for physical chemistry do MCQ type questions from Vibrant Academy's book of Narendra Awasthi. It is a book for JEE but for AIIMS you only need to do and complete the TYPE 1 questions from that book and that will be enough. You will find direct questions in NEET from this book.

For inorganic chemistry, NCERT is enough. Read it as many times as possible. The same studying principle of Biology applies to Inorganic Chemistry as well.

For organic chemistry, solve Vibrant Academy's book by MS Chouhan. This book is specifically for NEET/AIIMS and will be enough to score high in the organic chemistry section.

For Biology, along with NCERT solve all questions from the book of MTG NCERT at your fingertips. Solve this book and revise it as many times as possible.

LASTLY, your preparation would be incomplete if you don't solve previous years questions. For that refer to MTG chapter wise previous year question for all subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Good luck!

How to prepare for JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED

Ayush Kushwah 27th Jun, 2024

Hello My name is AYUSH KUSHWAH, I am an IITian and I have been making my students prepare for  JEE for the last 3 years, being a teacher I would like to give you some advice that will be helpful for you in JEE preparation.

1. First of all, make a timetable and manage your time accordingly. While making the timetable, remember that time has been given for each chapter, and then make your entire routine accordingly.

2. First of all, make small goals like how much time you have to give on a  topic or how much time you have to cover an entire chapter, then concentrate completely on doing it and you can do this according to the subject.

3. The most important thing for the JEE exam is the right guidance which is very difficult to get, so as you know you do not have much time for JEE exam, then I would say from my experience that you can go towards online learning.

4  PRACTICE IS KEY OF SUCCESS Take care of your practice, just solving the doubt will not work, you will have to practice it also.

5  Now if you go towards online learning then you will have to choose the right platform which is quite difficult because there are countless platforms in the market but if you ask me for my opinion then I will suggest ARIVIHAN APPLICATION which is my 5 One experience of the year brought me the best.

You will get all the necessary things for a JEE  student in it and here is the only platform which provides so many facilities at the best price in the market, from what to do according to the timetable to practice in ARIVIHAN You will get all the facilities.

You can try this app once.

Hllo, from where i have to prepare for GATE exam from your app

manisha.gupta 3rd Dec, 2018

Here are some preparation tips for GATE preparation you can prefer.

Understand syllabus properly: You must be aware about the GATE syllabus, released by the organizing IIT. You must go through the section-wise and topic-wise syllabus of your chosen branch in order to know what all you have to study and what to avoid.

Solve previous year papers: Solving previous years papers is of utmost importance if you want to excel in the exam.

Weightage of Topics: it is advisable and important to study the complete GATE Syllabus, however, you can do a small exercise to gauge which sections, topics are much more important in terms of weightage given in GATE.

Resources other than books: It is good to look up topper and expert tips in this regard as they do mention the books or material they have referred to. Many GATE toppers run their own Facebook pages or blogs where they dispense advice and tips to wannabe GATE aspirants.

Remember the following points:

Divide the Topics broadly into Strong, Weak and to be read properly.

Next schedule your preparation such that you revise the easy ones along with the tough ones and the “never read before” ones. This will ensure you have a clear view of what is to be studied and how you are going to do it.

While many advise to check the weightage and study accordingly, it is really not the correct way to go.

Check the weightage by all means and understand the important topics but don’t neglect to study.

Make Short Notes while you study as this is will be helpful during revision.

Write down Formulae that you find difficult to remember so that they are handy for revision.

Keep the solved problems separately indexed so that you can refresh and revise later when required

If I prepare for CAT .is I should fill form of XAT SNAP

Smit Parmar 25th Nov, 2018
It is desirable to not put all your eggs in one basket.
And the same goes for Cat as well.

You might have given your all into it but always have backups. Maybe you might mess up in GDPI or something else and then if you dont have a strong backup to go for you might end up dropping a year more or even worse end up in a bad college at the last moment.

So apply for Snap Xat and even Cmat. It will help you to secure some good colleges and believe me you wont regret it. Because even if you dont join them the interview experiences will help you when you put your all in the end game..

All the best.

What is level of GD and PI of CAT.how should I prepare for this

Smit Parmar 25th Nov, 2018
The level of GD and PI depends on the college that you apply for.
For IIMs and Top 20 Private Bschools the level is definitely very very high.

Generally people do not realize that GD is a simulation of an actual Board Room meeting in a company where Executives sit and brainstorm for an idea.
And students make a fish market out of it.
Many a times the panel rejects the whole batch for doing so.

So the strategy is simple put forward your ideas in such a way that you can help others as a team to reach forward to some conclusion.
Make sure to give atleast 4-5 ideas in favour or against the topic and head forward for a midway solution.

For PI prepare very well a few subjects of your Bachelor degree or if you have workex be very clear about your roles responsibilities and your Company.
Also prepare for GK for current events by reading newspapers.
Be very clear about your SOP and your life goals for joining a college before sitting in an interview.
Otherwise you will be grilled and finished off.

This much will generally suffice.

Hope this answers your query. Work hard and do well.
All the Best.

Is interview after crack CAT if my interview is not good then clearing CAT is waste

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 25th Nov, 2018
Hello,

Listen, cracking the interview is equally important as cracking the exam.I am sorry to say but that's the harsh truth about today's b schools.Seats are limited and huge crowd is there so you will have to pass the interview to get any further call from top colleges.

If I start prepartion for CAT from b.tech 1st year without coaching .by using Google and solving test series by self study .

Monika Shruti Gupta 25th Nov, 2018
Hello,

Coaching is needed only to coach you on the topics for the exam and guide you on a daily basis as coaching institutes set a routine with topics , certain homework and frequent tests. They give you a basic framework of how to proceed with your preparation and how to plan it well.

Anyway, obviously you can do it all on your own. Start reading the concepts one by one, then solving questions related to them in all the three sections.

After you complete this basic level of understanding, take up question paper that includes all kinds of questions and start solving them.

Do not forget to analyze your answers after every test or practice session that you do. This is the most important part of preparation for CAT.

Word of Caution: since you are starting your practice so early, ensure that you maintain consistency and don't stop or get demotivated in between.

All the best!!

I have 40 days for main can you plz tell any discipline or time table for crack and score in her main

Vishal Sharma 27th Nov, 2018
Hello

For jee you have to  first solve the ncert and then jump to the reference books . Try to solve the previous year question paper . This will help you to analyse your speed and how much time you take to solve the question .
Try to study according to your time table .
In 40 days it is bit difficult to crack jee . But you can try . If you have only 40 days try  to study for 15 days and then  revice the chapters you have study and you can solve previous years question papers .
Best of luck
