I am frm non math background..n its tough for me to cope up with maths in CAT! In the last few days shud I take tests or go through basics?

rishika goyal 15th Nov, 2018

Hello Rajeevi, as you know you have very little time left for the exam so you should start solving the questions directly instead of covering the basics now. I would suggest you to go through the previous papers and analyse which kind of questions are repeated every year and study accordingly.  But of course we know that we can't totally rely on that so you just try and solve questions of every concept in maths that covers your marks in paper. This way you'd be able to get gair score.

All the very best!

Is it Necessary to crack JEE in order to have a Computer Science currier??? If yes!then how & what to do? If no!then why?

Rohit Roy 13th Nov, 2018
Hi Aspirant,
JEE Mains is necessary to you want to join a NIT,IIIT or a Centrally Funded technical Institution.
However, for other colleges which are either state run or private,JEE mains isn't mandatory.
Hence,if you want to study Computer Science from a CFTI, then jee mains is required and if not, then it isn't required.
Hope this helps.

Hey Rohini,
You require dedication, hard work and will power. First of all, take a deep breath and tell yourself, you can do this! Self-coaching demands self motivation and regular

Studying like at a fixed time every single day.

You have to do it religiously.

Make up a plan every day, also for the week and the month.

I used NCERT books for my preparations and bought some objective books to solve questions.

Also, make sure to take care of your health and sleep patterns are important.

Take breaks in between maybe for a whole day where you don't touch your book but keep in mind not to have a long break from studying or else you will forget what you have studied.

Focus on core concepts. There are weightage for specific topics in 11std and 12std. Focus on those topics first. Make sure you understand the concept and teach it to someone. I found teaching a friend about it helps me understand how much of it I have understood. If I was unable to teach it to someone, that meant I didn't know the concept well enough.

Practise 40 questions every day on which ever subject you are focusing

Hope this helps

can i prepare for this exam like in 6 months??? if yes then i wud like to get some suggetions:) i have few bitsat arihant books will it help

Saurabh Kumar 13th Nov, 2018

Hello Sanchita,

Yes, of course you can prepare for the BITSAT examination 2019. BITSAT Arihant book will help also.

Your basics in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics should be very clear upto 12th std. You should read the NCERT books for basics. Then HC Verma for Physics, RD Sharma for Mathematics, OP Tendon for Physical & Inorganic Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry of "Arihant Publication" for detail or extra knowledge.

English is also a mendatory section. Questions will also come from English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning also. So, for these subjects you should read BITSAT English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning by Disha Experts.

You should also try to solve the previous years question papers, this helps too much and you should also give the mock test to rectify yourself and build your confidence level.
For preparation of exam, the most important thing is your confidence after that you should know the whole syllabus and make your plan properly for learning new chapters, solving the numericals and revision. All three things should be the part of your preparation strategy in daily routine.

The main thing is that you have to build your concentration level, then only you can stay focused on your goal. I would like to say that please limit the study time between 10 to 12 hours and please increase your concentration and speed of reading, understanding and solving the problems then you will not face any kind of difficulty.
