Is MASTER RESOURCE BOOK of ARIHAHT publication is enough for JEE MAIN preparation of maths please tell me

Ns Student Expert 10th Jul, 2019

Hii aspirant..

Master resource book of Arihant Publication is one of the best books for JEE mains preparation for mathematics. But as you are doing your preparation for competitive exam I would advise you to not left any stone unturned. And mathematics is all about practice and practise so if you practice more in more questions you will be able to to improve your skills more.

I would recommend you to not to rely on this book totally but other than this I would suggest you to go for other books as well if you will solve more question then your accuracy and speed will increase.

The other books I would recommend to you for mathematics preparation for JEE mains exams are -

  • NCERT Textbooks for Mathematics
  • NCERTObjective Mathematics Vol 1 and Vol 2
  • R.D. Sharma
  • Complete Mathematics (TMH)
  • Arihant Skills in Mathematics- Set of 7 books.
  • The Elements Of Coordinate Geometry by S L Loney
  • Play with Graphs by Amit M Agarwal (Arihant Publications)
  • Differential Calculus by Amit M Agarwal (Arihant Publications)
  • Integral Calculus by Amit M Agarwal (Arihant Publications)

I would recommend you to go through these books as well and if you practice  more then your concept will be more clear and you will be able to score more.

Hope it helps.

Best of luck.

I have completed M.sc Industrial Biotech I am confused with which stream to choose either gateBT or gate life science.which is easy to crack

Vijay Kumar 10th Jul, 2019

Hi aspirant

thanks for asking your query as you have done your msc from industrial biotech therefore you should opt for gateBt because you have studied biotech in msc which would help you to crach gateBt easily where as in gate life science may have certain syllabus of biology.

I go to college mng at 8.30 and come back to home at 6.00 evng.please give me the time table for JEE preparation to get good score in JAN

siddhiarora2311_9776369 Student Expert 10th Jul, 2019

Hey aspirant!

For JEE, you must know, that it's not important to mug up everything, you can give time to 2 among the PCM, but must know that your those two subjects must be really strong. There are many applications which are time flexible , so you can take online teaching, can ask queries and these apps also provide mock tests. If you are taking coaching, try to complete the mock tests provided by the institution.

Time table-

5:30AM-7:30 AM revision of formulas and solving new queries.

7:30AM-6:00 PM college

6:00PM- 7:00 PM- take rest, or move out for exercise

7:00PM-8:30PM- solve as much mock tests as possible. At this time try to focus on solving tough questions.

8:30-9:00 PM- dinner

9:00PM-10:30- have another set of revision. As you know,by this time, your mind must be enough tired, so try to solve easy questions.

10:30PM-11:00PM- sum up your day by doing college work (if any) or revise formulas.

I know this routine sounds hectic, but if done correctly, it will give fruitful results.

Also track the average time taken to solve a question. And if you're stuck on a question, don't waste time on it, ask someone or keep it for later, but don't forget to get it cleared. Also focus on your strong topics and the weak ones.

All the very best!

Where do you think you have good oppurtunities for gate preparation: gvpe vizag and srkr bhimavaram?

ANPAM KUMAR Student Expert 9th Jul, 2019

Hey there

Doing gate is different from semester as in semester you will go by subjective approach also in college you will face too much fests, events etc. Also placement pressure so if you want to do gate preparation then start by yourself that is by self study. Take help from NPTEL. No college is going to help you in gate all colleges want students to get involved in placements so if you want to do gate do it by heart.

Good luck

What should I do for the preparation of CLAT???What things needed for it???

Vipul Chaudhary 9th Jul, 2019

Hi Pratibha!

Greetings!

Incase you plan to go for professional training then join a good coaching institute.

And if you want to study at home then the plan is below:

In general it takes 6–7 months for preparation.

Few steps to follow seriously:

  1. Be sure of pursuing LAW because becoming a lawyer is cracking LLB exams and getting into reputed NLU’s and other other reputed law schools. Also there is 5–6 years of dedicated study you have to devote on. After clearing this 5 year education and to practice law, again you will have to give another exam. So this process goes on like this.
  2. Know the syllabus. Know the paper pattern. Know the sections. Know about the exams to give. Know the prospects of it in future.
  3. Join an institute if you wish to. If you don’t then make a study plan.
  4. So basically make 2, one is study plan and other is routine plan of your daily activities. If one- Make study plan.
  5. Even if you join an institute, still make a study plan and follow it.
  6. Professional training is required till the time you are sure about your self preparation.
  7. Collect appropriate books.

Material to refer:

  1. Previous year question papers
  2. Norman Lewis- Word Power Made easy
  3. Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning- By RS Agarwal
  4. Universal guide to LLB Exam
  5. Pearson GK Module
  6. Monthly magazines on GK, Current Affair, Books and Novel
  7. IMS/LST Legal Reasoning material

For more queries comment in the comment box and please upvote if this was helpful to you.

All the best!

how to preparation ceed exam for masters at home with apptitude and drawing? and which book is correct for ceed exam?

Ronak Gala Student Expert 9th Jul, 2019

The first thing you need to understand is that anybody with an open mind and decent drawing skills can get through CEED. You don't need to be extraordinary at drawing (obviously it does help if you are extremely good at it).

Stuff about Question Paper format:

Total 100 Marks. The paper has 2 Parts.

Part A- Multiple choice. 50 Marks. It will test you on many things from General Aptitude, GK, Analytical ability. Famous architectures around the world- Bridges, buildings etc.

In CEED-2013 people got a few questions on mechanical pulleys (physics)! So there will always be surprises.

Part-B- Again divided into 2 sections. Drawing Ability and Design Problem Solving. Total 50 Marks. The 2 most time consuming things in the entire paper. Check out the previous question papers. I gave the link below.

Also the paper format may change again every year. But you will be notified on the official CEED website if that's the case.

Stuff you need to know before appearing for the exam:

  1. You need to start preparing right away. Read anything you can find on Interaction Design and Visual Communication. Go as deep as you can into the subject.

    Check out-
Smashing Magazine- For Professional Web Designers and Developers

Complete Beginner's Guide to Interaction Design - UX Booth .

Another great resource - Teacup Blog

  2. Previous Question Papers- Common Entrance Examination for Design . Go through the previous question papers and try to answer as many of the questions as you can. Trust me you will learn a lot of things by answering them. Sadly I did that in the last few days. :(

  3. You need decent drawing skills. By the time you write the exam, you should be able to draw fruits, vegetables and everyday objects from your mind as far as possible in 3D perspective .

    Check out-
How to draw stuff, step by step, pop culture, with our FREE online drawing tutorials!

Industrial Design Sketching and Drawing Video Tutorials

  4. Be creative while answering the questions. What I mean to say is try to use the answer sheet to your advantage and present your points clearly and accurately. Try to think of different ways you could use the answer sheet to present your answers. This is not really that important. But its one of those good-to-know things.

  5. Optional: Good sense of humor. :P

Let me know if you need any more info or if I missed out on anything.
  • Update 1: Similar to Abhinav Bhatt , even I have no formal exposure to designing. I have a B.E. degree in Mechanical Engg. Also I do have a lot of interest in painting, sketching, photography and Photoshop. So that helped me quite a bit.
  • Update 2: NID has a separate entrance exam. But the way we prepare doesn't change for CEED or NID. I skipped NID exam.
  • Update 3: I was shortlisted for the interview rounds at IDC and IISc. But couldn't make it after that. Tough luck. :(
  • Update 4: D'Source | Courses, Resources, Case Studies, Galleries, Videos . This website is maintained by IDC and sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India.
  • Update 5: Here's another essential blog everyone preparing for CEED should read- Design Resources on The Power of Design . Thanks to Priya P ! :)
