I am doing polytechnic in computer science and I want to crack jee mains and advanced. I am a diploma holder so can I prepare for it ?

Gauri Dixit 10th Jun, 2019

Hello Roshini,

You can prepare and sit for JEE Mains and if you succeed you can give JEE Advanced. The thing here is your jee mains rank will not be declared and you can not apply for admissions in NITs and CFTIs. But you can get admission in IITs as a first year student if you can make through it.

Hope it helps.

I am in class 11th (Comm) and my future goal is getting into IIM for which Ill have to crack CAT so how can I start prep for it now onwards

Ankit Dahiya Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019
Hello,
CAT checks the general aptitude of a candidate in maths, problem solving english language and general awareness.
Although its too early to start specifically for CAT, but you can work upon skills required to crack the same.
I'll suggest you to start reading any good english newspaper daily and also get into habit of reading good books. This wipl increase your knowledge and language skills substantially.
Also take active part in co curricular activities in school and college.
Later on in ypur 3rd or final year you can start dedicated preparation for CAT.

Which is best option to prepare for CAT coaching or self study ?? And when should I start preparing for CAT 2020??

Ana 9th Jun, 2019

Hello Purvika,

In order to prepare for CAT you can do studying by yourself since preparation does not depend only on coachings.there have been students who have prepared for this examination by their own and also managed to score a very good percentile all by themselves. You can do the same, the only difference is that you would need to invest more time and greater hard work into your preparation. Coaching would be helpful in guiding you and providing you material at your hand that might help you in preparation but they are not mandatory. Coaching will provide you with teachers and coaches that will guide you towards achieving a good score but the true prepartion will have to be achieved through your own self study.

You can start preparing for CAT 2020 from the earliest time possible as an early start would allow you to prepare better with greater concentration. Remember to take time with your syllabus along with taking proper breaks in between. This will allow your mind to process the information and make it ready for more information to be taken in.

All the best!

Sir Mujhe samjh nahi aa raha hai ki mai kaise physics ka preparation karu neet 2020 ke liy mujhe bara numericals me problem bhi hota

raj22200 Student Expert 9th Jun, 2019
Hello Naveen!!

The problem you are sharing is a common problem for many students .
It is advisable to score 500+ to be in a safe zone of getting a government medical seat for MBBS .
But this year the cut off has increased .
Anyways coming back to your question , first of all try to score at least 330+ out of 360 in the biology section so give biology the first priority because in case of same marks this is the first criteria taken into consideration.
Then in chemistry score a minimum of 120 out of 180 .
This gives you a score of 450.
Now coming to physics , the conceptual questions can be easily done away with fetching u some 40-48 marks directly getting you close to 500.
The rest questions are mostly directly formula based for which you have to pay attention in the class and try solving as many MCQs as possible .
Solving many questions of different models will get you used to the formulas .
Pay attention to the concepts as the questions you are referring to needs this stronghold over the concepts and formulas as well.

All the best .
Hope this helps.

what is the best book for NATA preparation???AND is it better to prepare online or book??

abhinav singh 9th Jun, 2019

There is no specific book or brand related to NATA coaching as architecture is rarely sought after. You can go with any of the books you get your hands on. Just check that it has good reasoning and mental ability type questions. If by preparing online, you mean just reading material and watching video lectures, then that would not be enough because you will need practice on paper. Solve as many reasoning and aptitude questions as you can. Buy any related book which is not expensive and has good number of practice questions. You will be good to go.

What should I prepare for jee advanced?

manisha.gupta 6th Aug, 2019

Hello Ishaan,

The Exam is easy to crack if it is planned & followed with a strict time table. Here are some preparation tips which can be helpful for you in Exam preparation.

Work on a Time Table: After carefully checking the syllabus of the exam towards creating a perfect timetable which will fit your schedule while leaving enough time to prepare for the examination within the days left.

Devide & Segregate the Exam Syllabus: The topics from the Exam syllabus must be divided into easy, tough and very tough so that preparation of the exam is made accordingly.

Make your Basic Concepts Strong: While it is essential to study the topics mentioned in the official syllabus, it is also advised to study the basic concepts well first. By knowing the basic concepts of the units involved in the examination, you will be able to understand each topics well and in depth. This will result in a greater understanding of the topics and will make it simpler for you to study complicated concepts present in the syllabus.

Improve your Weak Points: Stressed over some topics or formulas which you just cannot seem to understand? Give more time and focus on these topics to improve it. Keep small notes and constantly revise those concepts which has been hard to understand. By constantly studying the topics you find difficult.

Attempt Mock Test and Solve Sample Papers: Mock tests will give you an almost real experience of how the examination will be. By solving mock tests, you will be able to work on time management while at the same time understanding the question paper pattern.

Revision: While studying it is important to revise those topics which has already been studied. It is advised that each day, a certain amount of time should be divided for revision purposes.
