It is possible to discontinue bds after 1st year from tamilnadu self financing dental colleges .

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 27th Aug, 2019
Dear Ijaz, you haven't mentioned whether you are studying in a Government Dental College or a Private Dental College. Lets say while you are attending Private Dental College, you appear for NEET and crack and get a seat in Government Medical College. Now because it is a Private College, you will have to shell out the entire xourse fees to get your documents and TC because the College is forgoing a potential candidate for the entire duration of the course. And this amount can be bargained with the Administration. This is the biggest economical loss you might have to bear. Now you crack NEET and secure a seat in any GMC, you have to pay the fees again how nominal it might be. Considering the fact you are asking this question already studying BDS and even if you are in the 1st year and you crack NEET next year, you will be technically 2nd year BDS student. If my Math is wrong, you might still be in 2nd year. So you will forgo 2 years and then pay fees for another 3 years upfront and then join GMC for nominal fees. I do not have an idea of your tution fees but it will dent a hole in the pocket. All said and done, if you get a seat in GMC, you can still go for it. The economic factor is just an answer because you have asked for it.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
Hello there!

Greetings!

I can't tell you about how many hours you should spend for preparing for neet as some may take 5-6 hours to complete a given topic while someone else may complete the same topic in 2-3 hours a day , but on an average you should give 6-8 hours for your neet preparation on daily basis.

Yes of course you can take break small breaks of 10- 20 min between your studies to spend time with your grandparents and it will help you to refresh as well.

Is ncert enough for neet ecology.can I do all question in neet in ecology by studying ncert alone.wheather I want to study Allen.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
Hello there!

Greetings!

I can't say that you will be able to solve all the questions from ecology just by reading ncert but yes you can answer 95 to 98 % of questions from neet . So , I will suggest have time then you can go for allen module otherwise ncert is enough as there's no 100% surety of anything and then you have to study chemistry and physics as well. If I talk about this year's neet biology section then there were 46 questions asked from 12thstandard syllabus and 44 questions from the 11th standard. It had 9 difficult questions, 33 moderate questions and 48 easy questions. Most of the questions were directly from NCERT and were concept based. So , ncert is enough but if you enough time, you can go for extra materials.

I am studying class 12 pcmb . i am preparing for neet.but I am afraid of maths board.how can I do calculus good and score 90+ in maths board

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019

Hello there!

Greetings!

You need not to worry,  there are many pcmb student who clear neet and score well in maths as well. I have personally seen a student who had scored 93 marks in maths in 12th board and 608 marks in neet as well.

So , you should relax , scoring 90+ marks in neet is not that difficult,  to score 90+ marks  you need to focus on ncert and you should be able to solve each and every question of ncert including questions of miscellaneous excercises as well and then you should go for chapterwise past year papers of maths by arihant. Calculus has 44 marks. Out of which 19 marks are allotted to chapters 7 and 8 (Integration and its application). Normally 12-13 marks are allotted to chapter 7. You should definitely expect three 4-mark questions in this topic. In most cases, you’ll find two 4-mark question from Indefinite integration and one 4-mark question from Definite integral. So complete these topics thoroughly from ncert.
