Is there any major consequence if I dont have 75% attendance for the MBBS foundation course?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
Dear Antaraa, there is a reason why the foundation course is being held. It is almost a month long programme and MCI has made it mandatory for all 1st year MBBS students to attend it. Falling short in attendance means you might be in trouble. You may set a bad impression and above all, if you fall short of attendance, this might reflect on your exams and you might not be allowed to sit for exams due to shortage of attendance. After going through months of hardwork and sleepless nights and finally making it to a Medical College, you do not want to miss the exams.

How can I get informations about the divisions in MBBS according to the neet rank???

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
Dear Nifitha, we are not sure what you mean by divisions in MBBS. If you are talking about Categories, the reservations that are in place are:
OBC: 27%
EWS: 10%
SC: 15%
ST: 7.5%

The remaining reservations like PWD, Sports, Women Category, Ex Servicemen and Defense, Victims of terrorism, etc are available at Horizontal level at the respective State Counsellings. Now we all also have 2 levels of Counselling. Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges are filled. So each college has a different cut off for All India Counselling and State Counselling for different Categories. However if you are looking for cut offs for 2019, we need to wait until all rounds of counselling are over and done with. If you think we have misunderstood your question, please help us by rephrasing the question.

If i am considered as general during counselling because of obc certificate not being ncl certificate will i become ineligibledue board mark

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
Dear Shreeya, there are 2 things to it. You should select the Category that you belong to. And if you have selected a particular Category and if that Category has reservation benefits that you can claim, then you should have proof of documents to prove your belonging to that Category. The merit list is prepared according to the Category you choose in the intial stages of filling the application form. If you fail to submit the proofs, the chances that you will be considered under General Category are less because by then the merit list has already been prepared and changes cannot happen for a single person's sake. You might lose out on the grounds of incomplete document verification. Now assuming you are considered in General Category by chamce, you will have to fulfil all the eligibility criteria according to the General Category criteria including the minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. You cannot select OBC-NCL as your Category and be considered for General Category due to lack of documents. Neither can you be given an exception and have an aggregate of 40% when you are put in General Category. You have to choose one appropriate Category and stick to fulfilling its criteria.

What is likely NEET score that would be required for a OBC student to get a Govt College or quoto seat in Chennai in 2020

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2019
Dear John, this year, Tamilnadu cut offs increased by 75-100 marks in few Colleges. Tamilnadu has still a round of Counselling to be over with and so its too early to decide the cut offs. Cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of candidates appearing for the exam, no.of candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So considering all these facts, your aim should be atleast 575 and above. For the benefit of you and lakhs of aspirants, we shall detail the registration process.
