In most oof the colleges, The subjects in first year mostly are ENgineering Mathematics, Computer 1 and 2( where they will teach a programming language mostly C , C++ or JAVA),Engineering Design( yes even for ECE students), mechanics.

Dear Aspirant,

NCHM counselling doesn't provide automatic locking in the cousellimg process. You have to firstly verify your documents at the nearest reporting centre prescribed by the NCHM. There you can lock a choice or apply for the next round accordingly.
