i am a housewife, i did my graduation in 2017 from cu, i pursued fro CA CS, but luck was not in my favour.... then got married in 2019 now i have a kid of 8 months. my husband is telling me to do a full time MBA, but i am thinking for doing mcon from IGNOU then b-ed regular course. what should i do?

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 4th Feb, 2021

Hi Dear,

If you go for Mcom + b.ed then you are choosing a career option for you which is completely different  from MBA. MBA offers a postgraduate course in management and will give you career option in corporate whereas if you go for Mcom + b.ed then you can have your career in teaching. In my opinion MBA is a course which gives you good job opportunities in a short span of time. You can also go for distance MBA course if you feel that you have a small kid. But it is always advised to do a full time regular MBA course for better opportunities. The rest depends on your area of interest. Also, since you are already registered for CA and CS course you can think of writing exams again as then you'll get time to spend with your family.

good luck

can i do mcom from IGNOU and be a teacher? i did my bcom in 2017 from CU

Abhishek Roy 3rd Feb, 2021

Since you have passed B.Com from Calcutta University in 2017, you may pursue M.Com from IGNOU. But for being a School Teacher, I believe you need a B.Ed as a compulsory qualification. Perhaps then after M.Com, you may also complete your B.Ed from IGNOU or Reputed Public or Private Universities by Distance Education.

Sohamsengupta8 3rd Feb, 2021

Hello student

According to UGC rules every education under distance mode of studies is valid for further education and employment in the state wise or or central wise.

It has been mentioned in the notification of UGC under which act the IGNOU has been approved by the Ministry of Human Resources development Government of India.

This helps.

Hello Aspirant,

See Staff Selection Commission has extended the last date of application to December 26th 2020 and it does not provide correction facility in application form of  SSC CHSL so if any mistake has been done then your form might be rejected so to prevent the rejection I would recommend you to fill up a new application using another E-mail Id and Phone number form before December 26th with all correct details including your photograph and signature if you have submitted the application form and if not then you can edit the same. The application fee is also very minimal which is of Rs. 100/-.

Complete application process for SC CHSL is described below :-

  • Now you should proceed to upload your photograph and signature. The size of the photograph should be between 4 KB to 20 KB while signature should be 1 KB to 12KB.
  • To fill other details in SSC CHSL application form, you have to login with your password and registration ID which which was obtained in Step 3.
  • After filling the application form, you have to pay your examination fees either online or offline which is only Rs. 100/- but note that for payment last date is January 1st 2021.

I have completed my academics in 2017 . Its been long since I am trying to crack neet. This year I got 603 marks yet not allotted seat . What should I do?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 17th Dec, 2020

First off, we are truly sorry to hear that inspite of scoring 603, you were not allotted a seat. Compared to 2019, the NEET 2020 cut offs have changed considerably higher than expected. With the top score being 720 which is 19 marks greater than 2019's top score, it is difficult to even predict the cut offs for Colleges. Unless more Medical Colleges come up, the competition is going to be like this. And we do understand that you belong to UP. In 2019, the cut off for GMCs for General Category was 575 against 2018's cut off 479. This means the cut offs increased by 150 marks. Now we do not know your Category and what have you selected as your options in Choice filling. You should be atleast getting few GMCs like Bahraich, Basti, Firozabad, Ayodhya, etc. If you are Pooja Prajapathi, you belong to OBC Category and your All India Rank is 18367, your State Merit Rank is 2071. You should be getting a seat and it is surprising that you were not allotted a seat. Even at All India Level, you had decent chances of securing a seat in MBBS. But because the seats are allotted based on merit and your preferences, lets say for example with your score if you opt for KGMC, LLRM, etc, chances for those Colleges being alloted are difficult because the cut offs for those Colleges have been higher even last year. But nothing can be done right now as UP has completed 2 Rounds of Counselling and only Mop Up Round is left. This is quite unfortunate bu the State Mop Up Round might be your only chance.

Admit cards will be available for download from second week of February 2021 and the examination will be conducted from February 23rd to February 26th 2021 in two shifts per day, for February attempt.

A candidate will also have option to apply for one Session or more than one Session (February/ March /April /May 2021) together and pay exam fee accordingly. To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate percentage criteriabut yes if you want to take admission into NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% in your class 12th if you belongs to General/Unreserved category and 65% if you belongs to any of the reserved category.

Also from this year according to New Education Policy the JEE-Main examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and other regional languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Odia and Malayalam.

In JEE-Main 2021 there will be two sections for each subject, Section-A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section-B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value.

In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.
