AAI recruits engineers and managers through two mode

• Conducting self exams
• GATE exam

Now coming onto will there be any recruitement this year through GATE 2019?

Unfortunately, the chances of recruitement this year are very low, reason being AAI already conducted an exam for recruitement of Junior Executive Engineering and Management by itself in the month of September/October  in year 2018, for which the results are out and document verification is in process. Any new recuitement notification will be out only after previous recruitement processes are complete.

In case, AAI decides to recruit through GATE 2019 this year, the notifications will be out after the GATE results on 17 March 2019. It is also possible they recruit using GATE 2019 score later this year (post June).

The basic & primary duty of a JE (ATC) is that of Air Traffic Control. They are initially provided a thorough Theoretical and simulated practical training at CATC (Civil Aviation Training College), Allahabad in ATC and other related subjects like Meteorology, Air Regulations, Air Technical, Air Navigation etc. based on International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) requirements & syllabus. After successful completion of the Training Course and after passing the examinations, they are posted at some Airport, where they are put on double banking with some Senior  ATC Officer. Double Banking means they will be working under the overall control of the Senior officer to learn the local and General ATC procedures. Before giving independent charge of some ATC Unit, they are subjected to clear a number of tests & examinations.

At small airports, JE (ATC) can also be allocated additional work of Administration, Passenger Terminal, Security etc. apart from Air Traffic Control.

Working environment is quite good and friendly,all officers(JE,Asst.Manager,Senior manager Deputy manager,Asst. General Manager and other high ranked officer) work together in the same ,one big open work space and work together in flexible teams.There are same working days,shift timings and work hours for all officers.There are no cabins for high rank officers ,all work in same open place.That's the openess,madness and beauty of department.You will enjoy lot.

Dear Nishu, the Airport Authority of India will release its application form for AAI recruitment through GATE tentatively from the first week of April. Graduates in Civil, Electrical or Electronics Engineering and Architecture will be eligible to apply for AAI through GATE. You can apply until last week of May tentatively at their official website.

AAI Recruitment Through GATE: Airports Authority of India (AAI) recruits GATE qualified engineers from various disciplines. Last year, recruitment drive of the company was to recruit approximately 542 Junior Executives (Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Architecture) posts based on GATE 2019 Score . Keeping that into consideration, we can make a safe estimate of a similar drive to recruit more engineers to be employed with the organisation in 2019 as well.

The pay scale for the positions of Junior Executives advertised by AAI in 2018 was in the band of INR 40,000‐3%‐INR 1,40,000, with the total Cost to Company per annum estimated at approximately 9.1 lakhs. The posts did not warrant any prior experience.

The registration process of recruitment drive is completely online. The application fee is INR 300, however, reserved category candidates are exempted from paying the fees. The last date to apply online for AAI recruitment through GATE 2019 is April 28 (tentative).

The eligibility conditions for AAI recruitment is listed below:

• Citizenship: Applicants should be Indian Citizens

1. Not more than 27 years for Unreserved Candidate.
2. Not more than 30 years for OBC candidate.
3. Not more than 32 years for SC/ST Candidate.
4. For Ex‐servicemen, age relaxation is applicable as prescribed by Govt. of India orders issued from time‐to‐time.
5. Relaxation by 05 (Five) Years for the candidate who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.80 to 31.12.1989 and candidate has to provide the certificate for the same issued by District Magistrate/Block Development Officer/Sub Divisional Officer at the time of document verification.
6. The Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will only be accepted.

Please note that Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted only.

1. Qualifying degree acquired through distance learning/part time or equivalent qualifications such AMIE/Certificate etc. will not be acceptable.
2. Applicants should have scored minimum 60% marks in a full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized/ deemed university or from an apex Institution (like IIT) recognized by Government of India.

The Airport Authority of India(AAI)  will release the application form for AAI recruitment through GATE from the first week of April. The application procedure is expected to continue till the last week of May. Hence the graduates in Civil, Electrical, or Electronics engineering and Architecture are eligible to apply for the recruitment. The candidates will be shortlisted and selected based on their gate scores and the selected candidate has to report for the document verification and final selection.
