I want to know the status of placement in apparel production engineering B.Tech course in Srirampur govt college

Hi Indrajit,

Hope you are doing well. It seems you wish to know about Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology - Serampore.

As of last years data and the placement track of 2016 batch (who gaduated in 2020),

the highest package stood at 4.2lpa while the average salary was 3.5lpa.

Colleges do not generally reveal data abour department wise placement situation. So it will be tugh for you to know about placement in one particular branch of engineering.

BSC in textile and apparel design is a three years undergraduate course. Eligibility for the course is to pass xii board with minimum 50% marks in home Science ,/ arts/ commerce.

Sir vittthaldad Thakeray college is good for women.Facilty is good, hardworking.

First of all both are undergraduate course and most of both course are similar so we are discuss briefly about course

B.Sc. Textile Design or Bachelor of Science in Textile Design is an undergraduate Fashion and Interior Designing course. Textile Design covers the study of the concepts and processes of creating designs for knitted, woven or printed fabrics, embroidery designs, print, weave, colour detailing, texture, etc using scientific principles and computer applications. The B.Sc. (Textile Design) degree course involves the study of technical aspects of production and the properties of fibres yarn and dyes. The course trains the student in all interconnectivity techniques related to Textile design integrated with computer application in the textile design process. B.Sc. (Textile Design) degree course also covers the study of some of the specialized fields in Textile Design such as Interiors (home furnishing) and Fabrics for garments and accessories. The course is three years duration and career orienting in nature.

B.Des. Textile Design or Bachelor of Design in Textile Design is an undergraduate Fashion and Interior Designing course. The duration of the course is four years and it opens many opportunities for the applicants after its successful completion.

If yo go trough overall course then the difference in little bit  syllabus rather then anything and job opportunities is also good in both of course so as per my recommend you can go through any of course as per your interest .

how good is apparel technology in Anna university? and also about placement for that course.

Anna University is among the top Engineering colleges of India and has good rankings and ratings. The course is totally backed up by renowned faculties and the course curriculum includes topics such as Engineering Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Graphics, Computer Techniques, Fabric Formation, Textile Technology, Spinning Process, Pattern Engineering, Fabric Analysis, Fashion Design Laboratory, Denim Manufacturing, Knitwear designs, Values and Ethics in Engineering, Intimate Apparels and many more.

However the placements are average and Apparel Technologists are mostly recruited by IT Companies such as HCL Technologies, Microchip Pvt. LTD. etc. Other Companies such as Zoomrx, Myntra, SRF, Fabric Sourcing, L&T, Reliance, EcoTech, Jockey India, Madura Garments etc also recruit B.Tech Apparel Technology graduates with around 2 to 2.5 lpa package.

Yes,  delhi university offers the Marketing management and apparel design & merchandise degree on ug & pg courses. The eligibility for this course is to have 10+2 degree for any recognized institute with minimum of 60% marks. Also you have some points to be remembered like, creative and artistic skills,  good communication skills,  perseverance, drawing sketching and quick learning.

hello,

NIFT  will be best option for Bachelor's of Design. Scope is more as there will be more job option after UG course completion. if you pursue BSc then you have to do MSc to get better job options. After BSc , job options are available but it will make you more. it will all based on your luck.

NIFT is famous in india and get sponsorship from different organization. You will learn concepts and you can use them to show your skills. You can be innovative so that you can increase your market value.

Yes, definitely you join B.sc textile.

Eligibility for B.sc textile Science in SNDT UNIVERSITY


English Paper of 100 marks

Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages or any classical Language or Information Technology/ Any four subjects carrying 100 marks each

OR

English

Any one vocational subject carrying 200 marks

Any three subjects carrying 100 marks each.


OR

Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination with the Minimum Competency based vocational courses (MCVC) conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education

OR

Must have passed an examination of other Board or Body Recognized as equivalent thereto.

OR

For Fashion and Apparel Design 12th Standard (any Stream) or Three years Government recognized Diploma in Dress Design & Garment Construction after 10th Standard.

For Food Science & Quality Control, 12th Std. with Science/Home Science with Science with 50% marks.
