Astronomer
Hello,
A Ph.D. degree is required to work as an astronomer.
To begin, you must finish your 10+2 examinations in the scientific stream, with a focus on Mathematics and Physics.
After that, you can enrol in an astronomy undergraduate course. You can enrol in a Physics honors/major with Mathematics as a supplementary course.
Following that, you can enrol in a postgraduate programme in physics or astronomy.
After earning a master's degree, you can pursue astronomy specialty leading to a Ph. D.
UG courses
PG Course
PhD
Hope it helped
Thank you
Hello aspirant.
you want to make your career as an astronaut, make your decision-making skills strong. To become an astronaut, you have to be adventurous, mentally and physically strong because the selection process is rigorous and very competitive.
After passing the 12th examination, you are required to choose the Bachelor’s Degree course in relevant areas of specialization. You can pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Science & Technology. Admissions in these courses are offered on the basis of merit or entrance- exam conducted by the universities or at national level.
Students are required to select the college to pursue graduation in the STEM field and this can be done through proper research. Try to choose a college with industry tie-ups and collaborations so that one may gain internship and work experience while studying.
For a Career in Astrophysics, you need to first pursue a B.Sc./BS in Physics followed by MS/M.Sc./PhD in Astrophysics followed by a career in Research and Academia. You dont really have strong scope in India, however after Postgraduation, if you pursue your Doctorate Abroad in Countries like US, Germany or France, itll open a Sea of Opportunities to you and a successful career in Astrophysics.

Dear aspirant,
to pursue astronomy and become an astronomer as a profession you will need to qualify for the following requirements,
Hello aspirant,
To become Astronomer you should have Ph.D degree. By writing JEE Mains or Advanced itself you can't directly become Astronomer. First you have to complete your 10+2 exams under science stream with Mathematics & Physics subjects compulsory. After that you have to give exams to join in undergraduate course in Astronomy. Later you can join postgraduate degree in Physics or Astronomy. In this way you can become Astronomer.

Hope this helps you.
Good Luck!!
Yes, it is true in india aeronautical engineering doesn't have much scope but if you are entering a college of that level then definitely no one can stop you getting placed. So I would suggest to give jee mains and crack jee advanced to get into the iits because there is least chance of getting unplaced or rather negligible. If you are going for jee mains iiest shibpur will also be a great college for that.
Hi Aspirant,
The eligiblity criteria for Mtech in Astrophysics.A B. Tech or B.E. degree in a field deemed related to the given subject from a university recognized by AICTE.The eligiblity for Mtech Astrophysics is that The candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board. The candidate must have studied Mathematics and Physics as the main subjects in class 12th.
Hope it helps!!
No, after BTech in Aerospace you become a Aerospace Engineer or later on go on to take roles of Aeronautical/Aviation Technologists.
As far as career as an Astronomer is concerned, you need to preferably pursue Physics and Astrophysics/Astronomy in your Graduation and Postgraduation followed by a Career in Research.
To become an astronomer you need to take Science group in 11th and 12th with maths and Physics.
Next I will list out some of the courses (UG, PG< etc) that you can do after your 12th:
UNDERGRADUATE
B.Sc in Astrophysics – 3 year full-time course
B.Sc in Astronomy – 3 year full-time course
B.Tech in relevant Engineering
MASTERS
M.Sc Astronomy
M.Tech (Astronomy and Space Engineering)
DOCTORAL
SOme of the top colleges that offer courses in astronomy are:
To become an astronaut a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, either in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, chemistry or biology (STEM field), or Aeronautical/Aerospace engineering. But a higher university degree like Master’s/PhD will be of added value.
Now coming to the two courses, Aerospace is a branch of engineering, where you get to learn design, building, testing and maintenance of civil aircraft, missiles, space shuttles, rockets, space stations and other such units. On the other hand, Aeronautical engineering is a sub division field of Aerospace Engineering and deals with the study of designing and building aircraft such as aeroplanes and helicopters. In simpler words Aeronautical engineering Relates to machines that fly within the earth’s atmosphere, wheres as Astronautical engineering includes the study related to spacecraft such as rockets, space stations and shuttles.
Now a degree in both the fields would be fine, but it would be better to do it in Aerospace Engineering.
Also if it is your dream to become an astronaut, you should also keep in mind that physical fitness plays an important role and so it is very much important that you take care of your health and maintain fitness.
Below I will share a link where you can find some of the best colleges in India that provide courses in Aerospace engineering:

If you want to consider a degree in Aeronautical, then you can find the best colleges for the same from the below shared link:
