Bio-medical engineering
Hello,
Biomedical engineers have a wide range of opportunities both domestically and overseas. In hospitals, they can offer guidance on how to utilize medical equipment, the latest upgrades that are available, and whether to buy new equipment outright or rent it in order to perform better research. Additionally, these engineers are able to create special gadgets as needed. Depending on their level of industrial expertise, they may occasionally serve as professors or supervisors at research institutions. They take a proactive role in carrying out actual analyses of the physiological and technical aspects of a certain issue. These engineers may also excel in product service by performing routine functionality checks, preventative maintenance, repairs, inventory management, software development, and even networking.
Scope is actually quite constrained, contrary to popular notion. since the majority of hospitals are administered only for financial gain by family businesses. A doctor with an Master in Hospital Administration degree can be required to work as a management assistant whose only goal is to charge patients money. A small number of large hospitals may use MHAs, though they face competition from MBAs. Another ambiguous topic is job security. It is preferable to start working in hospital administration immediately away rather than transitioning after earning a medical degree.
Thank You
Dear Rohini,
Biomedical engineering is an up and coming field with many future opportunities.
You will find that some of the best institutes of biomedical engineering in India are present in the various IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) like:
-IIT Madras
- IIT Delhi
-IIT Bombay
- IIT Kharagpur
-IIT BHU etc.
Some good non-IIT institutions providing for Biomedical engineering are:
- MIT Manipal
- VIT Vellore
- SRM Institute of Science and Technology etc.

Hello aspirant,
Now math is not completely necessary for biomedical engineering. You can apply even if you had science in the 12th class. But many say that it is difficult to cope with. 1/4 of the course deals with problematic papers. You can just try to learn the basics of engineering math. That will be quite helpful.
Thank you
Dear,
Eligibility for BTech/BE in Biomedical Engineering- For admission to the undergraduate degree programmes in Biomedical engineering a candidate should have completed their +2 education in science stream from a recognised board.
Eligibility for MTech in Biomedical Engineering- For admission to the master's programme, candidates will have to complete their graduation in the Biomedical Engineering/ Biotechnology branch from a recognised university/institute. A candidate who possesses an MBBS degree can also pursue a post-graduate course in Biomedical Engineering.
Biomedical engineering admissions at a majority of colleges and universities in India are done based on entrance exams. Most of the engineering colleges accept national level exam JEE Main for admission to the undergraduate engineering programmes. However, various state-level exams are also conducted for admission to the engineering programmes offered within the state.
Hope this helps!
Hello ,
According to me it solely depends upon, from person to person whether they want to do B Pharm or Biomedical engg. It all boils down to one question that what do you really want to become. As per my knowledge just a B. Pharm degree will not work you also have to do some masters regarding it example M. Pharm to earn a respectably good salary. For Biomedical engg you need to properly check for a goof college, their placements, opportunity that you will get from there cause biomedical engineering gives you an indepth study of medicine which will surely help you for your masters in India or somewhere else around the globe.
I hope it helped.
All the best.
Hello!
Since you have mentioned two courses in your question, I will provide the information separately for the two courses.
Here's a list of top Biomedical Engineering colleges-
And this is the list of BE/B.Tech Biotechnology colleges/universities-
Hope this information will help you!
Greetings,
An average salary of biomedical engineer in India ranges from 24k-30k. But it totally depends upon the location, experience and knowledge.
Biomedical engineering is an upcoming career not only in India but its demand is increasing world wide. There is a large scope in it in countries like USA, china, Germany, UK etc.
salary in different parts of country-
1 ) USA- As a fresher get about $55,000 P.A but that increases with increase of time and experience and can reach upto $1,50,000
2 )Australia:- Here you get paid AUD 47000 P.A as a fresher and can reach upto AUD 1,10,000 P.A later
3 ) Germany:- Starting working as a biochemical engineer in germany you get paid a handsome amount if money. The salary ranges from €40,000-€70,000.
Hope you have a great future!!!

Good Luck!!
Unfortunately, currently there is no system in place using which you can gain admission into a B.Tech course without taking Mathematics in your class XII exams. Since B.Tech or in general engineering is a very maths oriented field, it is required that you take maths in your class XII. So, being a PCB student, you can't take admission in any B.Tech or engineering degree.
But if you want to go into the biomedical field, I'll suggest you to do a B.Sc in biomedical sciences, which will quench your thirst for studying in this field. I'll suggest you to explore this option with an open mind.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
