aswathypadinjakkara 27th Oct, 2021

Hey

Hope you are doing good.

If you are interested in NDA, prepare for it well advance and crack it. It is a good option.First you should have a knowldege of exam pattern and syllabus before preparation. Also you should develop a habit of reading the newspaper and books as it will help to improve the grammar skill set, cover recent events & developments in the world and improve the basic general knowledge. Also practice previous year question papers and mock tests.Work on time management. Stay focused.

i am a 12 th pcm student do i have to study biology for kvpy

Ritvik Baweja 26th Oct, 2021

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

As you have mentioned  that you are a class 12 th student , so this means while filling up the KVPY form you would have opted the SX stream , You may note that unlike Class 11 KVPY SA , the KVPY SX stream gives you option to choose one subject from Maths and Biology and this option is being provided to you at the time of exam only, This option is also provided in both the sections separately also . in case you want to attempt maths in one and bio in the second section

You must also take a note that you are free to attempt both maths and biology in the paper, in such a case best out of the two would be considered

Now as you are mentioning that you are a PCM stream student , so I am assuming you don’t have knowledge of +1 +2 Biology so it would be best if you wholeheartedly prepare maths and attempt that only in the paper

Hope your doubts got resolved

Regards

l did my 12 th in 2019 with biology and qualified neet in 2020 and studying in govt college. Now I want to leave the medical field and study engineering. How l Will be able to get admission in plus 2 with math and can I will be eligible for JEE mains after completing the 12th.

Sumona Maiti 2nd Dec, 2021

Hello,

Firstly, let me tell you a bit of new NEP, which is not applicable yet.  So,  you can't switch your stream till now.  As per latest NEP you can switch to any of the stream of your desired by keeping your ongoing stream on hold and getting the diploma certificate which you can use further after completing your another stream for completing your leftover stream.  But,  to your notice,  it is not applicable yet.  So you can't switch for now.  So,  you have to finish up your graduation in medical field.  Secondly,  if you want to switch then you have appear for class 12th board with PCM as your compulsory subject and then you have to give JEE and then according to counselling, you will get the admission,  which seems to me  a waste of one valuable year.  So,  better be satisfied and complete your graduation in medical field. Moreover, now a days there are many aspects available in medical field.

Hope this will help you.

Thank you & Good Luck!
