Hello Riya,

To be eligible for NEET 2025 , you need to meet the minimum marks criteria in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) aggregate as per NMC rules:

NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria for PCB Aggregate

  • General Category : 50% aggregate in PCB
  • OBC/SC/ST Category : 40% aggregate in PCB
  • PwD Category : 45% aggregate in PCB

    Your PCB Aggregate Calculation

  • Biology : 113/150
  • Chemistry : 90/150
  • Physics : 68/150
  • Total PCB Marks = (113 + 90 + 68) = 271/450
  • PCB Percentage = (271/450) × 100 = 60.22%

Are You Eligible for NEET 2025?

YES , you are eligible for NEET 2025 as you have more than 50% in PCB (if you are from the General category ).

If you belong to OBC/SC/ST , you need only 40% , so you are definitely eligible.

If i got fail in 12th HSC and again get fail in re-exams, can i still continue as repeater? If yes then can I change some or my subject, As I have PCM, Eng, Hin, Geography so can i remove Geography and take Biology Instead?

Tanya Gupta 9th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Yes, if you fail in 12th HSC and the re-exams, you can continue as a repeater next year. However, changing subjects depends on your state board's rules.  Some boards allow subject changes only in private (open) exams, not in regular school exams. You should check with your board's official website or your school to confirm whether you can replace Geography with Biology as a repeater.

Hope this helps you,

Thank you

i complted to my inter mpc in march 2025 , so i intrested to go for scince stream and some other related in science feature courses like neet jipmer and another pharma . so can i go for biology only one subject in nios to be acceptable regards

kumardurgesh1802 8th Feb, 2025

Hello there,

Yes, you can take Biology as a single subject from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) to become eligible for exams like NEET, JIPMER, and other pharma-related courses .

Key Points to Consider:

  1. Eligibility for NEET & JIPMER:

    • NEET requires Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in Class 12 .

    • Since you completed MPC (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) , adding Biology from NIOS will make you eligible.

    • JIPMER follows the same eligibility as NEET.

  2. Acceptance of NIOS Biology:

    • NIOS is recognized by NMC (National Medical Commission) , so it is valid for NEET & medical courses .

    • However, some private colleges may have restrictions on NIOS students, so check specific college requirements.

  3. Alternative Options:

    • Instead of NIOS, you can reappear for 12th with PCB from a regular board, but it takes more time.

    • If you are interested in pharma-related courses (B.Pharm, D.Pharm) , MPC is enough , and Biology is not mandatory in most colleges.

      Next Steps:
  • Enroll in NIOS On-Demand Examination (ODE) for Biology to complete it quickly.

  • After passing, apply for NEET 2026 , JIPMER , or other medical-related courses .

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Do I need to study and revise the coaching modules or should I just revise ncert for biology?

kumardurgesh1802 4th Feb, 2025

Hello there,

For NEET Biology , NCERT is the ultimate priority because 99% of questions come from it. However, coaching modules can be useful for extra practice and conceptual clarity . Here's how to balance:

What to Focus On?

  • First Priority NCERT (Line by Line)

    • Memorize all concepts, diagrams, tables & examples.
    • Revise NCERT multiple times.

  • Coaching Modules (Use for extra support)

    • Solve MCQs & PYQs for better application.
    • Refer to modules only for weak topics (if NCERT is unclear).

      Final Strategy

  • Revise NCERT multiple times – Make short notes for quick revision.

  • Use coaching modules for practice & weak areas , but don’t overload yourself.

  • PYQs & mock tests are crucial – Solve them regularly.

Conclusion: Stick 95% to NCERT for theory, and use coaching modules only for extra practice.
