I am not able to study from 3 days im scared of neet im not good in physics and chemistry it has affected me with biology too what should i do and how should i restart?

touibmughal 24th Jul, 2020
If you begin the organic chemistry of 11th class firstly then u will not have to face any complication.firstly read basic of organic chemistry.ncert is considered mother of all the books.read every point of Ncert specially biology.Don,t lose heart.success needs sacrifice.every successful person fails many time in his life.learn from your mistakes because failure is the pillar of success.read with relax mind and don,t cram then and remove the negative imagination that I can't do it.of course u can.Now in this stage I don,t have to see the whole stair case just take the first step.BYE.

in madras christian college there is only one option of bsc biotechnology that is "plant biology and plant biotechnology". is it good idea to do after bsc zoology honours? what syllabus comes under "plant biology & plant biotechnology" is it similar to botany? i dont want to do bsc in botany.

Saunkita Mallick 1st Sep, 2020

Hey, hope you are doing well!

I went through the website and due to some technical issue the syllabus link is not working. But I am still adding the link here, please check it time to time if it opens.

MCC syllabus (https://www.mcc.edu.in/images/IQAC/NAAC/Criteria1/M.Sc._Plant_Biology__Plant_Biotechnology.pdf)

Plant biology and botany are same. Both of these are studies on plants. Plant biology and botany focuses on the total plant kingdom.

But plant biotechnology consists of introduction of desirable traits into plants through genetic modification. So plant biotechnology is different from plant biology or botany.

And yes its definitely a good option after BSc in Zoology. But only if you are actually interested in the subjects and the study area.

Always pursue a course only if you fully are interested in it.

All the best!

How much marks will I get in biology in NEET-UG 2020, just by reading NCERT?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 23rd Jul, 2020

Ankit, 99% of the questions asked in NEET, come from the officially designated syllabus. And NEET Biology syllabus is as follows:

Diversity in Living world

Structural Organization in Animal and Plants

Cell Structure and Function

Plant Physiology

Human Physiology

Reproduction

Genetics and Evolution

Biology and Human Welfare

Biotechnology and its applications

Ecology and Environment

Biology is the biggest section in NEET, comprising about half of the exam, and acing this subject can help you in scoring more in the exam. Human Physiology and Genetics have maximum weightage in NEET. Diversity of Living Organisms has 14% weightage. Structural Organisationi n Plants and Animals takes 5%. Plant Physiology has 6% and Cell Structure and Function has 9%. Human Physiology has 20% weightage. Reproduction chapter has 9% and Genetics and Evolution has 18% weightage. Biology and Human Welfare has 9% weightage. Biology and its application has 4% weightage and Ecology and Environment has 6% weightage. It is advisable to practise questions of Genetics from previous year question papers, which will give you a thorough understanding of how the questions are being asked. Topics of Plant and Animal kingdom have a lot of portion to memorize. You can prepare these topics by making a comparative table for the sub-topics and studying it together. Plant physiology is also equally important and easy to score. For more tips, please visit our page at: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/how-prepare-for-neet-biology . If you strictly follow the weightage and get all the questions correct, there should not be any reason why you would score less than 300 in Biology section.
