I have completed my Class 12th Board Exams (J&K State Board) in Decembr and the results should be out by March. I am a PCB student with Information Practices as additional subject. I am looking forward to study abroad (mostly Canada or U.S) What are my options in subjects and what to prepare for?

chandresh iyer 30th Jul, 2024

With your background in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Information Practices, you have a wide range of options for studying abroad in Canada or the U.S. In the medical and life sciences fields, you can pursue degrees in Medicine, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or Environmental Science. If you're inclined towards technology, you might consider Computer Science, Information Technology, or Bioinformatics, leveraging your additional subject knowledge. To prepare, you should focus on achieving high scores in your board exams and standardized tests like the SAT or ACT, and if applicable, the TOEFL or IELTS for English proficiency. Additionally, research the specific admission requirements of your target universities, gather recommendation letters, and work on a compelling personal statement.

portion of 12 th science which can come in board exams

Parmeshwar Suhag 14th Jan, 2021

Hello,

Let me guess that you are asking about the syllabus for 12th board exams. Basically the portion that comes in 12th board exam from science, is physics and chemistry. Now, as you have not mentioned your board name in the question, so it will be difficult for us to tell you the syllabus, becuase it is different for different- different boards.

So, please post a new question with the board name mentioned in it, and also make your question more brief. Only then we can help you in a better way.

Hope you understand.

is there anyone who can send me the official circular whether cbse has made pre board exams compulsory for this year?If I would not be able to give it can I submit medical?

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 12th Feb, 2021

Hey!

It is mentioned on the official website of CBSE that concept of pre-board exams does not come under the purview of CBSE. It is a school's own prerogative.
Schools conducts the pre board/pre-pre board exams. These exams are onlyy conducted to help students understand the pattern of actual board exams and make them ready about it. If you are not able to write these exams, then you must notify the school authorities.

Thankyou

should i take a year drop for JEE and concentrate only on board exams ?

Abhishek Roy 31st Dec, 2020

If you are really interested in getting into an IIT or NIT but unfortunately feel you are not prepared enough, you may consider taking a drop and currently focussing on Board Exams. However do give JEE Mains this year, as you will get an idea of time management, the questions and have a very important experience.

JEE Mains as well as Advanced us all about strategy and hardwork. You need proper strategy in regular preparation, strategic selection of study material as well as a proper test taking strategy.

Hello student

For your need of Q&A books, the publications are  Jeevish, Jen, Don Bosco, Dinesh publishing, and Arihant also.

It will be better for you to consult with your subject teachers and make a decision  to buy books .

But my suggestion is go through your textbooks thoroughly it will be  more than enough to secure more than 90 percent in 2nd PU exam of Karnataka State Board.

Nah, that won't your career/ examination/ admission process in any way. Just see that you have a valid reason for explaining what made you to take 1 year gap if they ask you while the time of personal interview of group discussions. Do not worry this topic won't be arise but just be ready with everything.

Im preparing for JEE 2021 and Im in 12th now. I also have my Board exams coming up. I have only 2 months left and I have to concentrate on both the exams. Im not very good in studies and my 11th was not good as well. So can u suggest me a good method to get good marks in these exams...

Aditya 16th Jan, 2022

Hi aspirant,

I totally understand your problem and would suggest you to be confident, not loose hope. Since your aim is to do good in both board examination as well as jee, and you have not done good preparation yet you must start with the syllabus of class 12th. Study with the best materials, YouTube videos which would boost your confidence as well as moral. Do the best efforts and you would surely do good in board's examination. Now coming towards JEE it would required much more hard work and labour, so gather all your books and try covering all the syllabus. After this you can appear for 3rd and 4th phases, if not successful you will need to take a drop and appear for the next year.

Hope it helps!!
