Is it OK to join MSC botany program in mg university Kerala after 3 years gap after bsc botany.pls reply sir

Vidhi 22nd Jun, 2019

Hi!

You can surely join M.Sc. Botany in Mahatma Gandhi university, Kerala after three gap years after your undergraduate in Botany. You will be required to give reason for your gap years, though. For that, you need to get a declaration given on Rs. 100 non-judicial stamp paper from Tehsildar at the time of admission. This GAP certificate should mention the reason for gap in between your education. If you have been working/interning in some firm, etc. do mention all that clearly.

This certificate need to be mentioned at the time of admission.

Best wishes!

I got 268(gen) rank and 176 (female) rank in BHU PET 19 for Botany. Is there a chance that I may get admission?

icipshita Student Expert 29th Jun, 2019

Hi,

268 general rank and 176 female rank in BHU PET 2019 for M.Sc. in Botany is quite good. The competiiton is really tough and the seats are very few, so you might have a small chance of getting a seat in M.Sc. Bonaty in Banaras Hindu University. You should wait for the University to announce their second round of counselling, there is a chance you might get a seat there.

I am bsc graduate.Im married also. I want to join in MSC botany in mg university. Do pregnancy become a problem? Will I get maternity leave

Vidhi 22nd Jun, 2019

Hey!

Mahatma Gandhi University has a rule which states that minimum 75 percent attendance is required to become eligible for examination.

Few years ago, the ministry of human resources allowed a 240-day maternity leave for female research students in their MPhil/PhD programmes. M.Sc. courses were not mentioned as such. And M.G. University allows you to sit in examination only if your attendance does not go below 75%, irrespective of pregnancy.

So, you will not be able to get maternity leave as such. For clarifications, please mail the concerned college authorities.

I am bsc botany graduate. I tried Neet exam for MBBS in this year. But I didnt get expected rank. What should I do next.Repeat Neet or Msc

Santwana J Singh Student Expert 21st Jun, 2019

Hello Aiswarya!

That entirely depends on your interest. Like if you really want to go for NEET and seriously want to clear that then take a drop and put your entire focus on it. It won't be better to both of them (NEET and Msc) together. If you are not much interested in clearing NEET but applying for it just by chance then please don't do that and go for Msc.

Prepare for NEET only if you are highly interested and dedicated in it because it requires lots of effort.

Hope that helps!

Which is the best among the Bsc-chemistry, physics, geology, zoology, botany

Baisakh Sarangi 21st Jun, 2019

Hello Aspirant !

In my opinion I would suggest that B.Sc. Geology is the best. B.Sc. in Geology is an undergraduate course in science offered across a range of private and government institutes across India. Geology involves the study of solid Earth, rocks, other solid structures, minerals, physical and chemical properties, water resources and the processes and reactions by which their state and properties change.  It is essentially Earth Science.

The science of geology is not limited to the study of planet earth alone, it also covers the study of solid surface, structures and properties of celestial bodies (other planets, meteors and satellites). This sub-discipline of Geology is called Astrogeology. In the study and analysis of solid earth and other geologic data mentioned above, areas of study such as history of evolution of the earth, presence and distribution of natural resources (minerals, petroleum, natural gas, hydrocarbons etc.), presence and distribution of groundwater, climate change, environmental problems and natural hazards are also covered. The discipline involves a lot of outdoor work, activity, and exploration. The average course fees in India ranges between INR 20,000 and 30,000. The average annual salary offered to successful postgraduates of the course varies between INR 4.8 and 5 lacs.

Good Luck!!!
