Also, it should be noted that, CA CPT June session will be the last session of CPT exam. CA CPT exam will not be conducted after June session and after June 2019, CA Foundation will become the sole CA entry-level qualification examination.

Can i take CA final exam direct after ipcc without articleship or what is done in articalship i want to spend less time for it already compl

Pulkit 7th Feb, 2019

Hello Prabhat,
No, you cannot take Finals just after IPCC without articleship as it is mandatory and one must complete at least 2 years of training before sitting for the finals.
Even if you take a dummy and not do the actual articleship you will still have to wait for 2 years before giving the exam so it is always wise to do the articleship wisely as it gives you a lot of practical exposure and experience about this field.
In articleship an article is trained to deal with real life situations and challenges that CA faces so that he can be well prepared in advance and made sure that his knowledge is not limited only to books but also to practical situations.

Hope this helps,
Good Luck!

Hi, i am sanket, ive got 69.23 %ile in CMAT 2019 and have cleared gr1 of ipcc of CA and did articleship of 2yr and 5 months.

Pulkit 7th Feb, 2019

Hello Sanket,
Generally, the cutoff is 80 percentile for CMAT exam and around 60 percentile for CAT exam.
But, this is only the min. cut-off bar it can vary with the scores and profile of students applying to get admission in the college this year. So best is to wait and see how things go around. You might get a call in the second or third round.

Hope this helps,
Good luck!!

How to become CA? Is class conduct by ICAI for intermediate level exam of CA??

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th Dec, 2018

Dear Samay, you haven't mentioned your highest qualification. If your highest qualification is 10+2, you should pass CA Foundation and then  you become eligible to register for CA Intermediate. For this you need to have 8 months of study period after rehistering for CA Intermediate.

However without going through this, there is a direct entry. If you are either a Graduate or a Post Graduate with atleast 55%, you can register diretly for CA Intermediate. Here you can register for CA Intermediate on Provisional Basis.

ICAI conducts coaching classes. There are also institutiins which offer coaching for CA.

Sir, Im in B.com. 2nd year and I want to become a CA, so what should I do?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 1st Jan, 2019
Hello

To pursue CA, one has to clear three exams namely CPT (entrance exam), IPCC (Intermediate exam) and the final CA exam. Students who want to opt for CA can give the CPT exam after completing Class XII. Subsequent to clearing the CPT exam, students can appear for IPCC exam after nine months of preparation.
You will have to cover up subjects like accountancy, business administration, economics along with optional subjects including maths, entrepreneurship, IP etc.
Good Luck

Is there any college which offers both CA and B.com course at the same time?

Debosmitha Bhattacharyya Student Expert 22nd Dec, 2018

Hello Applicant,

I couldn't find any college that provides both courses at the same time but Yes you can do B.Com and C.A both together.

First, you take admission in C.A and for B.Com join through Distance education.

For distance education, you have to join Open University.

In my opinion, you should do B.Com or C.A any one course at a time.

TOP COMMERCE COLLEGE:-

  • Loyola College, Chennai
  • St Xavier's College, Kolkata
  • St Xaviers College, Ahmedabad
  • St Stephens College, Delhi
  • University Enclave, Delhi
  • St Xavier's College, Mumbai
  • Madras Christian College (MCC), Chennai
  • Madras Christian College

shivam pandey 22nd Dec, 2018

Heyy Navaljee....

First of here's the main difference between the two :

  • CA : A CA acts as a business advisor by preparing financial reports, helping the business to secure loans, preparing financial projections and determining business viability. As a tax advisor, a CA helps businesses and individuals to comply with tax laws.
  • CWA : CWA will maintain and scrutinise statutory books of accounts, prepare cash budgets, cash flow statements, do cost management planning and determine costing policy for companies, besides advising on investment and profit-planning. Good computing skills is a must for rendering services efficiently.

So decide according in which you are comfortable and good at.

I am studying in 12th science . And preparing for ca foundation . How should I prepare for it

Mayank Kukreti 22nd Dec, 2018
Hello
Here are some tips to prepare for ca foundation
1) Stick to the time- table

Planning is always the first step. To win any war you require a full proof planning and so do you require here as well.
Distribute your 24 hrs. into fruitful time ranges and schedule it properly.
Do not miss intervals for mental boosting.
Start your day with theory and then practical. Finally end your day with revision.

2) Everyone needs a coach- join coaching institute that makes you progress.

Student do pass on their own but with just boundary marks. However, its just not the marks you require. For long run you have to have a clear understanding of each and every concept,

3) Never miss Statistics and Logical Reasoning

Logical reasoning  20 marks

Maths and Statistics- 80 marks (40 each).

Most of the time non-math student do face a problem scoring in these subjects. So its always a good advice to focus more on this subjects.

4) Own Revision Notes makes it easier

Revision is a must. And making your own notes are mostly preferable as they are easier to understand and you end up getting grasping concepts easily.

5) Command over Calculator

ICAI do allow students to use calculator because of the lengthy paper. Now its up to students command over calculator that can also turn the table round. Students having a good command often save time to solve hard questions. For this learn short-cut keys like M+, M-, and G etc.

6) Short nap

You cant work or study for 24 hrs. Therefore short naps or short intervals are necessary for boosting your brain.

7) Do not fool yourself

Give appropriate time for chapter completion. No matter how less chapter is covered its necessary to have a clear understanding. You may cover 2-3 chapters a day but it wont be of any use if you are not sure of what it actually meant and how to use it.

8) Model Test Papers

Helps in:

To evaluate your performance.

To check your time management skills.

To understand question patterns.

To know difficulty of paper.

9. Focus on Presentation

In the syllabus two of them are objective while the other two are subjective. Presentation is very important once you start preparing for professionals.
For this practice your subjective question and then judge them from any professor, teacher etc.

10) Last minute peek

Plan in a way that you are able to complete syllabus within 3 months. And for the last month book it for revision purpose. Solving question papers, mock test etc. this will not only increase your potentiality but also boosts your confidence

Goodluck I hope this helps you
