B.Tech in Food Technology is a 4 year UG course which deals with the study of food processing and applications to increase the duration of product. You must have completed 10+2 with at least 60 per cent aggregate with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology as optional subjects.
Chemistry is one of the subjects required in B.Tech food technology. In order to be strong in it, you must:
1. Have good knowledge about the subject and mainly your weak areas in it.
2. Learn Chemistry from an excellent coaching centre.
3. Read various books in Chemistry.
4. Watch Chemistry experiments in YouTube to know how innovative the subject is.
5. Forget the fact that you are weak in Chemistry. Then you can definitely become an expert in this subject.

From your profile I can see that you are an engineering aspirant so I will be answering according to JEE exam .
In JEE Mains the weightage of all 3 subjects (physics , chemistry and math) are same that is 100 marks each section with 25 questions carrying +4 marks so the total weightage of maths and chemistry is 200 marks (50 question).
JEE Advanced do not have a definite patterns but the weightage of every subject is almost same (around 33 % weightage each).

According to the previous cutoff of Punjab University common entrance test for Master of Science Chemistry the required square for qualifying Punjab University common entrance test is 30 marks out of total 75. The overall qualifying score which are required for admission in masters of Science Chemistry are 50.4222. the marks of 10th class and 12th class are also considered while giving admission in Panjab University Master of Science Chemistry.

Don't worry you won't face any problem for this matter because there is no such criteria for NEET counselling. If you are NEET UG qualified then you are eligible for NEET counselling. To qualify NEET UG, one should satisfy following conditions :-
