Coding
Hello aspirant,
According to the reviews of the students of the college, their coding culture is really good and consistent. Here are some things I got to know about while discussing:
--> The best description of the coding culture of NIT Trichy is given by the Intranet app that can be accessible by all the NITians.
--> Then next comes the Spider R & D club. Through this club, you can share your knowledge on a common platform and form a community that can allow them to pursue various courses, blog hosting, and many other features.
--> The Delta Force is another club of developers and programmers who face new challenges every day that gives them a steep learning experience.
--> Many of the developers work on various real-time projects that are part of the department fests which gives them hands-on experience.
--> Also, there is a Robotics and machine intelligence group that is full of budding enthusiasts. They indulge themselves in various real-time projects to gain knowledge and experience.
Last but not least we can say that the coding culture of NIT Trichy is extremely vast that can help students to develop their skills along with the various experiences.
Best of luck..
Ideally first you should learn C/C++ as well as Master in Python. Followed by learning about Data Structres and Algorithms (C++) as well as exploring Data Science and Machine Learning (Python). Apart from this practice Coding regularly, take up Projects and Internships. I believe this would be enough. Secondly always pay attention to your College Coursework and try exploring your area of interest to depth, be it Web Development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS), Software Development or Data Science related vertical.
Hi aspirant,
Yes you can surely do BCA without having Maths in Intermediate. Only a Few colleges in India have compulsory Maths Requirement. Basically it is a 3- year undergraduate degree program that focusses on knowledge on the basics of computer application and software development. Also requirement for mathematics is emphasized in some colleges for better understanding of Data Structures and algorithms. Some of the top colleges without compulsory maths requirement are as follows:
Hope it helps!!
Yes you may do Coding, develop skills in Competitive Programming and Software Development as well as Certifications in Web Development, Data Analytics and Machine Learning, maybe Interships and Projects would greatly help your purpose.
However, for stronger prospects in the IT, Services or Software Industry, you may perhaps pursue MCA after B.Sc. perhaps from some of the Top NITs or Central Universities.

If You are getting atleast IT or ECE in DTU then it's fine
Because you like coding & ECE have 60% syllabus of CSE means you will get to code.
But in other branches like mechanical or others etc there will be no coding
So choose wisely.
In other hand if You get CSE then that's best
But Yeah DTU is a big brand.
hello arpita,
this is a very common question. the answer is simple, NO YOU DO NOT NEED PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN CODING FOR CSE BRANCH STUDIES. many students from PCMB background end up taking CSE branch in engineering colleges and learn pretty quickly, HOWEVER, IT DOES HELP!
So my advise is that, prior to college starting, try taking up a basic online coding course on Udemy. the cost is less (i think about 400 rupees) to help you a little bit.
hope this helps
Hi,
The Placement criteria mostly depends on company. Many Technology Companies may set criteria that students from CSE and IT can only apply for them while many also have no such pre requisite. Companies like Microsoft, Google , Facebook have no such criteria. Any student can apply for their placement exams. However sometimes, College can itself impose restrictions on other branch student although that happens very less often.. If you know coding then definitely you have better chances of getting good package.
I hope this will answer your query.
Thanks!!!!
Hello Sagar,
The Question you are asking is not a public one. The main decision maker is you, As you need to decide your career based on your interest and passion. Always remember though you compromise on college but never compromise on the branch. In your query you have included various branches and colleges which you can decide by going through the following link :
https://www.careers360.com/compare-colleges
This link helps you to decide the best suitable college for you.
If you are still waiting for others advice then I can say that going along the coding side might be better.
Hope this is clear..
Hello Dear,
As you Mentioned you have Failed two Times in 10th and also took 2 year gap for JEE Mains. Most of the Big Companies that come to Campus have some Criteria for selection. Some Companies don't allow students who have more than 1 year gap in study ,While most of the companies don't have such conditions.
For Campus Placement the most important thing is how much you good in subjects like DSA, DBMS and Coding. Your CGPA also act as an eligibility criteria for Campus interviews.
In short , You can get placed to good companies even if you have some years gap in your previous Study. The placement depends on how good are you in Coding, Algorithm, Database and other things that you will Learn while being in college.
Thanks!!!
