Im interested in cse can i go nitw(metallurgy) parallel with coding or cbit cse along with masters in foreign countries or can i do masters in cs with nitw metallurgy but metallurgy would be no use i think? what should be goodchocie?

GUTTULA NIKHITHA 16th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Different domains like NIRF rank, placements, faculty, infrastructure, facilities, courses offered and student reviews of NIT Warangal and CBIT are as follows,

NIT Warangal

  1. NIRF rank - 19
  2. College placement - The median salary is 9 lacs for BE/B.Tech and 8.09lacs for ME/M.Tech
  3. Campus is spread across 248 acres with around 1807 students and 344 faculty
  4. It provides facilities like Hostels, Wi-Fi, Cafeteria, Gym, Library including medical facilities.
  5. It offeres 8 courses in B.Tech,29 courses in M.Tech and includes M.C.A, M.Sc, Ph.d.
  6. According to the Alumni the overall rating is 4.4

CBIT

  1. NIRF rank - 124
  2. College placement - The median salary is 5 lacs for BE/B.Tech and 4lacs for ME/M.Tech
  3. Campus is spread across 51 acres with around 1682 students and 231 faculty
  4. It provides facilities like Hostels, Wi-Fi,Gym, Library including medical and transport facilities.
  5. It offeres 12 courses in B.Tech,9 courses in M.Tech and includes M.C.A, M.Sc, Ph.d, B.Arch.
  6. According to the Alumni the overall rating is 4.2

But focusing on the domains CSE is ideal as fetching a job is not easy in Metallurgical field and the number of jobs are less and you have to attempt GATE if you want a jo in Govt. sector. It becomes hectic for you to manage two different domains parallelyif you opt Metallurgy. But if it is CSE it becomes easy for you to get along with coding. But atlast choosing a college is subjective as opting a good college is important but CBIT is also among the top colleges in Hyderabad. Make sure you opt a domain based upon your intersts.

tell me about hacking, what is coding,if it is language to talk with computer, the we have keyboard for it.why it is necessary to learn coding, how can i learn it in easy way?

Khushi Goyal 7th Aug, 2021

Dear Student,

Before telling you about hacking, let me brief you about coding first. Coding is a way or language used by programmers to talk and instruct the computers. A code briefs or instructs the computer about the actions it needs to perform. We can use the skill of coding to make websites and apps, process data, and perform lots of other cool and advanced things.

In today's era, coding is considered necessary because we live surrounded by computers, mobiles and laptops and all that has a lot to do with coding. Also, the number of career opportunities in coding fields has expanded due to the advancement of technology around us.  And do remember, anyone can learn how to code! Learning to code makes it possible to imagine the things you want to make and actually build them.

To learn coding easily, first you need to choose your interest. Is it web development, android development, cybersecurity, data analyst, etc. After getting your interest, get familiarize with the technology, languages and frameworks required. Then, go with that languages to learn. As you have mentioned the term hacking, so I am assuming that you have interest in Cybersecurity field. So, search for corresponding languages and courses on udemy, coursera, great learning, etc.

Now, coming to what is hacking. Hacking refers to an attempt to exploit a computer system or a private network inside a computer. Simply, it is the unauthorised access to or control over computer network security systems for some bad or wrong purpose. There are two main factors used to determine what type of hacker an individual is: their motives and legality of their actions.

Based on these factors, Hackers are divided into three types—white, black, and grey hat.

1. Black hat hackers are normally responsible for creating malware, which is frequently used to infiltrate computerized networks and systems.

2. White hat hackers , also known as ethical hackers, they’re often employed or contracted by companies and governmental entities, working as security specialists looking for vulnerabilities.

3. Grey hat hackers are individuals who utilize aspects from black and white hat hackers, but will usually seek out vulnerabilities in a system without an owner’s permission or knowledge.

Happy Learning!

if we have coding skills and e- certificate in one course is that going to help in placement of iits? if we are msc student?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 4th Aug, 2021

I would if you have really good coding skills then you can get the placements at IIT. If you are student of Mathematics/Statistics/Physics then you will have coding in your core courses along with it you will have to develop some set of skills which you can choose in elective courses or in e certificate courses. But the main point is you should have good skills and if your skills are really good then you will be hired without any doubt.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

I am a maths-bio student and have passed the cbse board exams this year. I have high interest in technology and even get fascinated , when someone talks about those things .But the problem is that, I have no knowledge in coding, though I know computer basics (medium level). So what should i do now ?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 22nd Jul, 2021

I think you have PCMB and you want to go for Engineering and as you know that engineering needs programming stuffs so you are worried about it as you don't know coding. See the practical answer is that every year a lot of students takes admission in engineering who didn't have computer science in there 10+2 or ever have written a code by themselves. So you have nothing to worry about. The courses are so designed that you can coup up with the coding languages even if you have no elementary understanding. Always remember that in coding Mathematics is an important factor. So its recommended that you study well for engineering entrances and learn mathematics well. This is the thing which you should prioritize now. As you take admission in the courses, you will learn coding and your lack of knowledge will not hamper your studies in any way. So don't worry and keep on studying.

Im not that good in maths. But i have interest in coding so should I pursue BCA, is bca hard or easy?

Sree Student Expert 16th Jul, 2021

Dear aspirant,

BCA mainly deals with Computer Applications with Mathematics basics. If you can map between both then it will be easy for you. If you miss the grid then you'll face difficulty. So make sure that you can manage Mathematics concepts as well as its involvement in Coding.

As you are interested in Coding you can purse Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). Also coding need some basic knowledge in Mathematics.

But make sure that you can clear Mathematics subject in BCA course because it is compulsory subject in BCA course. So, if you think that you can manage it then go with BCA course and you might find it much difficult if not it will be hard for you.

Hope this helps you.

Good Luck!!

Which is good and have high scope and placements ? CSE OR IT Im interested in both cse and it . I like coding and maths alot. I have less interest in physics.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 8th Jul, 2021

Employment wise both the streams have good scopes but if you think of higher salary packages or more programming oriented job profiles then I would say you should go for CSE.

BTech CSE and IT both are UG 4 years degree course.

Now some of the CSE advantages are:

  • CSE approaches equally on theory as well as applications where as IT is more focused on applications.
  • CSE helps you to study more fundamental and innovative concepts of computer and its systems engineering where as IT provides innovative uses of the designs produced by CSE.
  • CSE requires a use of mathematical knowledges in implementation but in case of IT , the mathematical proficiency is entirely based upon statistics,processing,data-analysis etc.
  • You may call IT as a sub-division of CSE but there lies some unique subjects like systems management in IT only.

So this are the basic differences about both of the fields. Now placements didn't have a lot of variance. Usually engineers from both this fields works hand-in-hand in corporates.SO there is equal amount of exposure for both of this field.

If you have a good rank for CSE go for it if not then you can go for IT which will not disappoint you because all the requirements are your skills not the educational degree you are having. So work hard and you will succeed.

Also I would recommend you to do a research on your own about the subjects & then come to conclusion. It will help you.

To know more about IT visit the link below:
