what is the syllabus for clat exam to undergraduation completed students

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 22nd Sep, 2019

Hey.

CLAT is an entrance test for admission in 5 year integrated law courses in National law universities in India. These are courses for students who have  completed 12th and now want to pursue law. The syllabus for it is

The Syllabus of CLAT includes a total of 5 sections. Here is the section wise syllabus of CLAT-

1. General Knowledge and Current Affairs- 50 questions for 50

2. Legal Aptitude- 50 questions for 50 marks

3. English- including Comprehension questions 40 for 40 marks

4. Logical Reasoning- 40 questions for 40 marks

5. Elementary Mathematics-20 question for 20 marks.

But if you have completed undergraduation course then a 3 year LLB degree is more appropriate for you than a 5 year integrated course. CLAT is only for 5 year law courses and not for 3 year law courses. So for law after graduation you have entrances other than CLAT which are DU LLb, LSAT, SLAT, MH CET, PU LLB etc

is there is compulsory to apply for college before entrance exam

manasa Student Expert 21st Sep, 2019

Hello Abhishek

CLAT 2019, led for the current year by the CLAT Consortium of NLUs headed by NLSIU, was hung on May 26, 2019 between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The paper was to a great extent on anticipated lines. The example of the paper was very like that of a year ago. Notwithstanding, the LOD made it fundamentally the same as CLAT 2016, in this way showing the cut-off for the main 3 NLUs is probably going to be around the 155-157 imprint.

The paper had a sum of 200 inquiries spread crosswise over five segments - English, GK, Elementary Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude. There was negative checking of one-fourth of an imprint for each off base endeavor.

CLAT score is likewise acknowledged by other graduate schools including NMIMS-Mumbai, UPES-Dehradun, and Institute of Law, Nirma University-Ahmedabad, to give some examples.

Being an innovator in Law entrance planning, Career Launcher specialists will bring you Exam investigation, Expected shorts and Score Calculator. Register yourself and gain admittance to Exam day exercises.

Hope this will be helpful for the query you have.

All the best

Im appearing from Cambridge board for my 12th. We can give our subject exams over several sittings of our choice. If one of my subjects exams result comes in Aug 20 (as the exam takes place only in June 20), will I be eligible for CLAT 20?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 31st Oct, 2019
Dear Anupam, if your results are pending at the time of the exam, it is still fine. You should be able to get ypur results and score the required aggregate atleast at the time of counselling. In this case you will be considered as a Candidate appearing for her qualifiying exam. So you will be fine.

I am going for a CLAT exam next and I am majorly focusing on private institution rather than NLUs, so will they accept my percentage of 44.66% instead of the eligibility criteria which is 45%.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Oct, 2019

Dear Sara, even before things move to admission process, for you to be eligible for CLAT, you should have secured a minimum aggregate of 45%. It is 45% for General and OBC Categories and its 40% for Reserved Categories. And unfortunately, the aggregate cannot be rounded off to the nearest digit. You have to earn it rightfully if we may say so. You have to appear for improvement exams to secure the required aggregate. It is tough to sit for improvement exams just for few decimals but unfortunately that is the only way you can be eligible for CLAT and seek admission even if it is a private institution.
