which college for best in msw course at mcc loyalla mssw and st joseph university bangalore

Bipasha 19th May, 2025

All four colleges are reputed for MSW, but here’s a quick comparison:

MSSW (Madras School of Social Work), Chennai – One of the best in India for MSW; strong faculty, placements, and fieldwork exposure.

Loyola College, Chennai – Excellent reputation in social sciences; good infrastructure and practical training.

MCC (Madras Christian College), Chennai – Known for holistic education and good alumni network in the social work field.

St. Joseph’s University, Bangalore – Growing reputation with strong field exposure and decent placements.

Top Pick: MSSW is generally considered the best among these for MSW. But your choice should depend on specialization, location preference, and fee structure.

Deepti Singh 27th Nov, 2024

Hello,

In order to provide you with information regarding when the form fill-up is to start, I would require you to specify which specific exam or event you are referring to. Do you have in mind a college entrance exam, government exam, or perhaps another form fill-up?

For example, for exams like JEE, NEET, or NDA, the form fill-up usually starts on specific dates each year, and you can track those dates on official websites. You can check the Careers360 website for more details about updates in form submission dates.

direct admissions are possible?

Radhika Goyal 28th Oct, 2024

Hy,

Yes, direct admissions are often possible in many colleges and universities, especially for certain programs. Here’s an overview of how direct admissions typically work, along with important considerations:

What is Direct Admission?

Direct admission refers to the process of securing a seat in a college or university without going through a competitive entrance exam or lengthy selection process. This is common in various undergraduate programs, particularly in private institutions and some public colleges.

How Direct Admissions Work

  1. Eligibility Criteria:

    • Colleges usually have specific eligibility criteria for direct admissions, such as minimum percentage requirements in Class 12 or other qualifying examinations.
  2. Application Process:

    • Application Form: Students must fill out the college's application form, which can often be found online.
    • Documents Required: Along with the application form, students typically need to submit documents like mark sheets, identity proof, and photographs.
  3. Admission Fees:

    • Some colleges may charge an application fee or a higher tuition fee for direct admissions compared to those who are admitted through entrance exams.
  4. Management Quota:

    • In many private colleges, a certain percentage of seats are reserved under the management quota, which allows for direct admission. This may come with higher fees.
  5. No Entrance Exam Required:

    • In direct admissions, students are not required to take entrance exams. Their eligibility is usually determined based on their academic performance in previous qualifications.

Where Direct Admissions are Common

  • Private Colleges: Many private institutions offer direct admission, particularly in fields like Business Administration, Hotel Management, and Engineering.
  • Self-Financed Courses: Programs that require higher tuition fees often allow direct admissions.
  • Institutes with No Entrance Exam: Some colleges or universities do not conduct entrance exams for specific programs.

Important Considerations

  1. Research the College: Make sure to check the reputation and accreditation of the college before seeking direct admission.
  2. Check for Additional Costs: Understand the fee structure, as direct admissions, especially through management quota, can be more expensive.
  3. Limited Seats: Direct admissions might have a limited number of seats, so it’s essential to apply early.
  4. Consult the Admissions Office: If you're unsure about the direct admission process for a specific college, reach out to their admissions office for detailed information.

Im Not prepared much for session 1 but is it true that session 2 is difficult (for gaining good rank) as the competition increases and also is the paper more harder than the January session usually?

Shivanshu 27th Jan, 2024

Dear aspirant !

Hope you are doing well ! I am answering this on my personal basis and true facts . Yes it is true that competition will increase suddenly in the second attempt of jee . Initially I was also unaware about this fact but when my result came I was shocked after getting very less percentile even my marks were higher in second attempt but still no improvement in percentile ,so I will suggest you to give properly ist attempt because competition is very less in the first one . The difficulty level in the second attempt will not increase only the number of candidates will increase . I will suggest you to prepare maths as it boost your rank believe me . Maths plays an important role in jee . Just attempt 1-2 more questions of maths and see the difference in the rank .

Hope you find it helpful !

Thank you for query

Question : Loans offered by the central government to the state government are to be treated as

Option 1: Capital expenditure by central government

Option 2: Capital receipts by by central government

Option 3: Capital expenditure by state government

Option 4: Revenue receipts by state government

Team Careers360 23rd Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: Capital expenditure by central government

Solution : The correct answer is (a) Capital expenditure by the central government.

When the central government provides loans to the state government, it is considered as a capital expenditure because it represents an outflow of funds from the central government's budget. The central government is allocating capital resources to the state government for their various capital expenditure requirements.

The state government, on the other hand, treats these loans as capital receipts because it is receiving capital funds from the central government. For the state government, these loans are a source of capital inflow.
