which months current affairs should we know for the bba entrance exams

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 25th Apr, 2020
Vishesh, you should go back atleast by an year. In order to prepare for current affairs section, you need to broaden your overall scope in following sections: Sports, Politics, Entertainment, Biographies, etc. So, for this, you can use Static General Knowledge by A.P. Bhardwaj and S. Chands Advanced Objective General Knowledge. These books are okay to start with if you are not someone with a newspaper reading habit from the past. Even Manorama Year Book is helpful.

which type of gk is included in this exam i mean to that like current affairs, or history or world wide current affairs?

srikar kanakala 28th Mar, 2020

Dear Kajal,

Firstly, for an competitive or entrance exam, general knowledge is considered to be a crucial section which most of us avoid and focus more on analytical and logical section of the test. This is where most of us lose marks that can help us increasing our percentile.

In any competitive exam, the type of questions one can expect are mostly based on current affairs. For instance, if 80% of the questions are regarding current affairs then remaining 20% is about history and other domain. But, most of the test patterns specify that the general knowledge questions will be based on current affairs on their website or link.

for clat exam current affairs kitne months ka prepare karna padta hai about 7 to 8 months or 5 to 6 months or more than this ??

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 27th Mar, 2020
You should go as back atleast 1-2 years of General Awareness and Current Affairs section. It is always better to read newspaper for CURRENT G.K. than trying to grasp all info at once. Some of the newspaper sources which you can use to prepare this section are The Hindu, Financial Express, and The Economist.

In case, you dont like reading newspaper daily, you can go with Manorama Yearbook or Current Affairs Yearly by Arihant for General Knowledge which is published every year.

In order to prepare for STATIC G.K. section, you need to broaden your overall scope in following sections: Sports, Politics, Entertainment, Biographies, etc. So, for this, you can use Static General Knowledge by A.P. Bhardwaj and S. Chands Advanced Objective General Knowledge. These books are okay to start with if you are not someone with a newspaper reading habit from the past.

Hello,

I can suggest you some tips which will help you in preparing better for the same:

1. Check out the last year questions papers: it will help you to analyze a pattern and types of questions they ask in the Paper.

2. Take all the monthly magazine for the whole year: this will help you to read the news faster.

3. Check out the current affairs website/e-paper to get bulletins or short summary of the affairs.

4. Write down notes (but it might take longer time so do it as per the time limit)

5. Make sure that you complete a good amount of reading in a day. Do not go on for reading and remembering the whole news. Look out for a pattern of reading the current affairs which will help you in the exam as you have less time and a lot of syllabus to cover.
