Data Science
Hey aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
I am providing you a list of all the basic subjects in all the specializations.
Subjects in CSE (Data Science):
Subjects in CSE (AI&ML):
Subjects in CSE (IoT):
As you can see, some of the topics are common in all the three specializations. The subjects taught in the first year of all the above will be same and after that the course will take turn towards there specific fields. There also one many find a few topics common in all the three specializations.
I hope I answered your question.
Hello there,
VIT Vellore , offers only BCA Course. But it does not offers the BCA Course in Data Science. You can also check the official website of VIT, to know the course availability. Below, I am providing a link. You can also refer to it, to know all the courses offered and their fee for this college.

Hope it helps.
Dear student,
I hope you are safe and doing good.
IoT or Internet of Things is primarily a full system of all mechanical and digital machines which are turned into interconnected computing devices. If we have a look around our surrounding, then we can see that most of the devices are IoT based like Smart Bands or Fitness Bands , Smart Smoke Alarms, Amazon Dash button and this list goes on.
While, Data Science, is defined as the process of obtaining valuable insights from structured and unstructured data by using various tools and techniques. Some of the techniques practiced in data science include data extraction, data analysis, data mining, and data retrieval, to produce informative results.
In simpler words, IoT is about simultaneously collecting and processing data to make real-time decisions whereas, data science is more into collecting and accumulating huge data for analysis afterward.
So, they work on the same thing but differently and it would be somewhat difficult to represent that in the form of percentage.
I hope you got your answer.

This is the syllabus in general.
BAsed upon the universities there might be some differences, but in general these are the subjects taht will be covered.
Yes Data Science has a good Career scope. But I would Suggest that you take it if you are truly interested in it.
Good Luck
Dear Student,
Data science is just data analysis and their related methods in order to "understand and analyze actual phenomena" with data. It uses techniques and theories drawn from many fields within the context of mathematics, statistics, computer science , domain knowledge and information science . In future , there is lot of scope for data science. Big Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Data Scientists are the top three emerging jobs on LinkedIn.
Ever since 2012, the job positions for Data Scientists have increased by over 650%, thereby making Data Science one of the hottest professional fields at present. For the year 2020 Data science is one of the most emerging jobs in India. After US, India is second most hub for Data Scientists jobs.
Hope this helps.
Dear aspirant,
According to your question and taking into consideration that you want to know about the comparison between these computer branches.
I would like to say you that it should be selected on the basis of your area of interest as all branches are good and interesting in their own way.
But i would say artifical intelligence and machine learning is a bit demanding,so for me it is these two branches.

Hello Aspirant ,
The minimum percentage required to qualify the exam is 25% and ranks required for a course depends on the college you are applying to. In the college factors like the number of seats available, number of people who are applying for the course and the highest marks score among them decides exactly your chance to get in. So I suggest you to search about the previous year cutoff of the college. Anyway for good colleges try to be under the first 20K ranks.

Hello there, hope you are doing good!
I would like to tell you that between Msc in data science and a diploma in data science you will have many benefits with the Msc as it is a full time course which will enable you to get real experience and more in depth education about the subject. The learning will be more practical and with a good profile you will be able to get better placements by pursuing Msc rather than a diploma.
Hope you found this answer helpful.
Good luck for your future!
See from the perspective of Industrial needs Data Science is a urge in today's world. Many companies like TCS etc prefer in general CSE or other engineers for their programming jobs. CSE(AI) , CSE(ML and AI) have a great opportunity in future but after getting the degree there is a great probability that you will not get a job related to this but if you have interest you should go with it.
So ordering the course according to the industrial needs:
CSE(data science)/CSE>CSE(AI and ML)>CSE(AI)>IT
The perspectives will change from year to year on the enhancement in the sectors. So have a degree with advanced topics may not deal you now a great package perfectly for that course but in future it will be of high demand.
I hope my answer helps you. All the very best for your future endeavors!
